NWA Powerrr: The Immortals face stiff competition The Hardway

On this NWA Powerrr, with Samhain in the rear view, the National Wrestling Alliance looks to the future.

This show has a few promising debuts, but the big one in the main event will have The Immortals put up the NWA World Tag Team titles against the current NWA Chicago champions, “The Veteran” Jack Vaughn and Dalton McKenzie. Odinson and Kratos have their work cut out for them, and in deference to their opponents, they won’t take the easy way out.

We come to you from the PowerrrStation in Tampa, Fl. Kyle Davis is in the Ring with the NWA World champion β€œThrillbilly” Silas Mason, who’s dressed to the nines. He takes the mic to address the controversy at the end of Samhain, and this is what Big Daddy Thrill has to say:

“There are only three reasons a man should be wearing a suit: if he’s going to a wedding, a funeral, or court.

And I hear no church bells ringing, and I’ll hear no bagpipes playing, and I guess these people will serve as a jury, because I came out here to admit to a crime at NWA Samhain.

I murdered Matt Cardona! I beat him so bad that he left town and changed his name. He went back to a name that he said he would rather die than go back to. Honey, you got your wish. But right before I could sit there and bask in my glory, in my moment of triumph, a self obsessed, narcissistic, no good piece of trash, Thom Latimer came out and stuck me in the back. Thom, there are consequences to your actions, and I want you to come out here right now and face me like the man you say you are.”

Out comes Thom Latimer, and Mason says he gonna pay for crossing him. He offers him a choice: get on his knees and apologize, or he will make his life a miserable experience. Latimer decides on option two, and they come to blows until security tries in vain to break it up.

Kratos and Odinson talk about the accolades of The Good Brothers, but wonder what will happen when they face The Immortals for the tag team gold? Hey even this inquiring mind wants to know.

After order gets restored (somewhat), Joe Galli, Tim Storm, and Danny Dealz have the call, and your First Match of the Night is…

Big Strong Mims vs. El DragΓ³n Nihan

Mims seeks a measure of revenge after his loss at Samhain. He takes it to Nihan, but the size and power of the DragΓ³n takes its toll. β€œIt’s like a gnat hit against a windshield,” Dealz says as Mims runs into a big boot. There is a whip to the corner followed by a tackle, and Mims tries to chop him down. He follows with a DDT and then a boot to his skull, but Nihan chops Mims from a kneeling position.

Another whip to the corner, and he misses the tackle, but Mims counters and rams his shoulder into the midsection. The ref tries to gain control, but Mims pushes him off, nd he gets stunned.

Out comes, Da Pope and he stares down Mims… then he attacks Nihan, and Mims rolls him up for the pin.

Pope and Mims look at each other, and now we get a new wrinkle in this odd mentor/student dynamic.

“HollyHood” Haley J is hyped up for the next match, and she don’t play, and neither does Rachel Ley.

Well, ya don’t say?

Joe Cazana says The Slimeballz are marked, and The Country Gentlemen wants the US Tag titles and they will claim it…By the Book.

Now for Women’s tag action with…

“HollyHood” Haley J and Rachel Ley vs. Sirena Veil and Vipress

Ley is a former Rutgers gymnast who’s parleyed her athleticism to the squared circle, and Haley is now in the PowerSlap League.

Vipress and Haley lock up, and she slaps the taste out of La Chola. Ley tags in, and now she and Veil tussle. She attempts with a cartwheel and gets countered to a drop on the top turnbuckle by Dracula’s Assistant.

Then she and Vipress take turns beating down on Ley in the corner, and she is in peril because she can’t flip out. Somehow, she manages to get the hot tag to Haley, and she goes full HollyHood en Fuego. She goes for a cover, and Veil breaks up the pin. There is chaos in the ring until Haley introduces her powerslap to Vipress. Ley blindsides the Bougiest Baddie and then attempts a moonsault, but Vipress rolls Veil out of harm’s way, and then she delivers the spinning reverse STO on Ley to win it for her team

Haley is incensed and still wants to throw down after the match, and I say, do not turn the cheek on this chick.

EC3 and The Holy Grail have a message for Argento. Here, he was hoping for a Roman emperor like Caesar, and he slipped up like Didius Julianus. Pastor C-Lo asks if he meant to say “Diddy,” but that’s a documentary for another time, one where someone else put their fifty cents in, if ya catch my drift.

Simply put, The Overlord says that he will be punished by his man in Pretty Boy Smooth after costing them a chance at the NWA US Tag titles. Amen, and gods help Argento.

Meanwhile, in Dr. Viktor’s Abode, he’s on the phone with an acquaintance and needs help with something. What could it mean?

Now for your….well, let’s call it a “match”…

Pretty Boy Smooth vs. Cristiano Argento

It was amusing to see fans at ringside wanting to be a part of the Church of EC3, complete with choir robes.

As for the β€œmatch,” Smooth just batters the Italian royalty from pillar to post and then tosses Argento out. Pastor C-Lo gets a little too close and receives a powerslam on the floor. Smooth ain’t done with this Italian player, as he sends him back in the ring, nails a choke slam, and the Penthouse Bomb gets delivered on Argento’s poor soul.

After the match, Knox and Murdoch come out with words for EC3. As he listens to what they have to say, Smooth and C-Lo look on in bewilderment.

Pretty Empowered are backstage, and they cut a promo on Herra and Piper, confident that they’ll send them packing after tonight.

Davis is back in the ring with Colby Corino, and he asks the Prince of Old School when we can see him in the ring again after his neck surgery recovery. I’ll let Corino explain:

“Well, when it, when it comes to neck fusion surgery, it’s a complicated answer. There’s a lot of factors that go into it, and I can say here and use words like ‘herniating discs’ and ‘vertebrae,’ I think, but I’m a wrestler. I don’t know anything about that.

But what I do know is they first told me that I might be walking the rest of my life with a cane, because that’s how some people goes down. I swear to God, the first thing I thought on my brain was, ‘How am I supposed to wrestle with a cane/?’, and I got sent home with one of those old man walkers, you know, the two handed ones. For a few days I used that, and I kind of used it as a crutch, and then I realized I ain’t gonna get better unless I start pushing myself. So I pushed that walker to the side, and I start taking a couple steps, and sometimes I would fall, but I’ll get right back up and I’ll keep walking.

I don’t know about you, but we ain’t got no cane here now, but it’s still a little up in the air. I can’t tell you an exact month. I can’t tell you an exact week, but I can tell you that in 2026 Colby Corino is gonna wrestle again.”

Teal Piper and Herra vs. Pretty Empowered (Kenzie and Kylie Paige)

No mistaking the daughter of β€œRowdy” Roddy Piper. Herra is a bit of a mystery as her outfit and face paint kinda resemble the Frankenstein monster.

In any case, Piper and Kenzie start, and she gives no respect to the second-generation wrestler. Piper comes out swinging, and then a slam to the former NWA Women’s champion.

Kylie enters, and it’s more of the same by Piper. She doesn’t see the blind tag by Kenzie, and Kylie slams the brakes and eats a clothesline by Kenzie. The Paige Sisters feel Pretty Empowered as Piper is in Peril (say that three times fast), but she fights out and tags to Herra. The unknown takes the Paige sisters to the wood chipper and gives Kylie a Samoan Drop.

The match devolves to a Pier Four brawl, and Kylie goes for a basement dropkick that misses. Herra cinches a one-arm choke/camel clutch on Kylie. She taps, but has a foot on the ropes that the ref misses, but the bell rings regardless.

Your Winners via Submission: Herra and Teal Piper

Not a bad debut, but you know the Paige sisters will want that receipt.

Aron Stevens is backstage with The Slimeballz and Carson Drake. Before he can say a word, The Slimeballz have their title match next week. Also, what isn’t pretty is Alex Misery, and he can’t beat him.

Gisele Shaw has arrived and will take on Natalia Markova next week for the Burke; it will be Quintessential.

NWA World Tag Team Championship: The Immortals (Odinson and Kratos)(c) vs. The Hardway “The Veteran” Jack Vaughn and Dalton McKenzie)

Been a while since we saw The Hardway, and we learn both men are holders of the NWA Chicago Tag Team championship. Amazing how the NWA territory system is working out. Plus, Drake takes credit for pulling strings to make this match happen.

Odinson and Vaughn start, and the Veteran gets an early advantage, but it isn’t long before The Asgardian takes umbrage and unleashes his trademark uppercuts.

Tag to McKenzie, and after a little playing around, he drops Odinson with a clothesline. The Hardway cut the ring in half as Odinson is an Asgardian in Peril. Somehow, he nails a big sidewalk slam, and he crawls to the corner.

Hot Tag to Kratos as he and McKenzie stare down, and it’s a hot time in this hoss fight tonight between the powerhouses. There’s a flying tackle by McKenzie, but it is short-lived as Kratos returns fire with a powerslam for a two count.

He follows with a splash, but Kratos bellyflops, and The Hardway. Double team with the Veg-o-matic (Hart Attack), but only get a count of two. They go back to the double team, but Odinson hits the Asgardian Pounce to Vaughn, and McKenzie sees Immortality as he stays down for one, two, and three.

Another successful title defense by the World tag team champions as the show comes to a close.
