NWA Powerrr: The Country Gentlemen go to Slimeball City to claim gold.

On this week’s NWA Powerrr, there is title action aplenty, and the challengers are here to test their mettle and gain precious metal in the National Wrestling Alliance.

The Hex wants to reclaim the Women’s Tag Team Titles from TV-MA. Plus, Bryan Idol defends the Television title against Carnage, to hopefully get the seventh win and be eligible for a future shot at the Ten Pounds of Gold, with Natalia Markova putting up The Burke against the Quintessential Diva, Gisele Shaw. And in the main event, The Slimeballz will defend their NWA United States Tag titles against the former holders, The Country Gentlemen.

So much gold on the line, and so little time for the action.

NWA Television Title: Bryan Idol(c) vs. Carnage

Looks like Carage is looking for singles gold, and his Blunt Force Trauma member, Damage, is nowhere to be found. He attacks straightaway and wastes no time on The Looks That Kill. Idol retaliates with a whip to the corner and a bulldog, but Carnage gives him Blunt Force to add to the Trauma. Idol rallies with the crowd behind him and rushes at the masked man in the corner, but ends up eating a boot.

Carnage takes his sweet time, methodically breaking him down, but Idol pushes him away and lands a flying Clothesline for a two count. Carnage connects with a vertical suplex and works the champ’s trapezoid. Idol gets his second wind, hits a superkick, and goes for a BME, but bellyflops in the center of the ring. A spear by Carnage, and he covers for a close two-count. Fans rally behind The Looks that Kill as he evades a tackle in the corner, and he rolls up the masked man for the pin and the win.

With that, he successfully defends his title seven times. So, when will he cash in that opportunity for the Ten Pounds of Gold?

TV MA is backstage, and they make the case that they are the best at everything, including beating The Hex, and will walk out with the tag titles again. Get it? Got it? Bueno.

Thom Latimer discusses his recent altercation with β€œThrillbilly” Silas Mason last week, and he respects him beating him. But not Mason kissing his feet, and he can kiss his arse, and he invokes the rematch for next week on Powerrr.

NWA Women’s World Tag Team Championship: TV MA (Tiffany Nieves and Valentina Rossi, With Ms. Starr and Gretta)(c) vs. The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle)

The champs tried to punk out the Hex, but they were ready for their nonsense. Kay and Belle work them in the corner and then pull Nieves away for a pin, to start the match, but gets a near fall. The double team offense of The Hex swarms La Princesa, and she gets a taste of their high-octane offense.

Rossi distracts Belle outside, allowing Nieves to kick Belle in the mush. Then TV-MA cut the ring in half, placing one half of The Hex in a bewitching beguilement. Belle pushes Rossi away and gets the hot tag to Kay, and AK 47 is firing with a full clip. She attempts a piledriver, but Rossi shifts and tries a backdrop that gets botched. Rossi goes for a tag, and Nieves wants nothing to do with her.

Rossi is stunned, and that allows Kay and Belle to deliver Hex Marks the Spot to hold tag title gold once again.

That makes The Hex three-time NWA Women’s Tag Team champions.

After the match, Nieves and Starr read Rossi the riot act, and Gretta nails her with a choke slam.

So, things are no longer bueno, I guess.

Lev is backstage with Gaagz and Misery, and The Lost will find a path to victory. Misery adds that when it comes to Carson Drake, it ain’t about beating him, it’s about torturing him.

Subtle.

In the ring with Kyle Davis are Aron Stevens and Carson Drake, along with Lockjaw, who we learn has a brace after tearing his quad is the Casket Match at Samhain. He asked about the Casket Match and how he is doing. So let’s have the Manager of Champions explain:

“Thank you for your irrelevant opinion, Kyle, and at this time, I will invite everyone here to take the opportunity to keep your mouth shut and listen to the most intelligent thing that any of you half-witted hillbillies will hear this evening.

At Samhain, I was unceremoniously and completely accosted by those faction of freaks, The Lost. And I don’t get mad. I get bad, and we get even, and that’s what we’re doing tonight, because payback is coming and it’s coming right now.”

Carson gets on the mic and notes that payback is like…well, like a Fan’s mother, and he is confident he will beat Misery in tonight’s match. So let’s begin with a…

No Limits Match: Carson Drake vs. Alex Misery

Misery brings the plunder, including a sledgehammer, and Drake blindsides him and sends him to the floor, where he rams him headfirst into the steel steps. He rolls Misery back in the ring, who gets the brash young man with an inside cradle for a two count. Drake rolls away before any injury can happen, but he can’t avoid a PK by Misery from the apron edge. He then grabs a chair, but Drake wants no part of it. At that point, Stevens takes the chair and Misery connects with a baseball slide.

Drake uses the opportunity to lock in the Capital Gains Tax submission, but Misery won’t submit. He grabs his sweater, smothering Misery along with the submission until the ref checks on him as he passes out.

Stevens stomps Misery as recompense for getting dumped in the casket at Samhain. So I guess this feud has been put to bed, right?

NWA Women’s champion Natalia Markova is smiling as she is the Women’s world champion. She explains that what defines a great champ is the level of their opponents. She gives props to Shaw, but this is her spotlight.

NWA Women’s World Championship: Natalia Markova(c) vs. Gisele Shaw

The former TNA Knockout and WoW superstar makes her debut in the NWA, and the Quintessential Diva wants to leave Tampa holding The Burke.

The bell rings, and they circle the ring. They lock up and wrestle to a standstill, each acknowledging the other’s prowess. Then Shaw connects with a sliding clothesline for a two count. A whip to the ropes, Markova trips her up, knocks her loopy with a forearm shiver to the head, then follows with a single-leg takedown, gets a near fall for the champ. Shaw is proving to be the aggressor, and baseball slides the champ to the concrete floor.

They slug it out, and Shaw slams her on the apron edge at an awkward angle. She rolls her in and still can’t put Markova away. Back in the ring, both women are firing live rounds until Markova connects with a Jazz stinger for a close count of two. Fans start to get into this, as the champ gets her second wind and a knee strike connects, but still can’t keep the Quintessential Diva down.

Markova goes up the top, but Shaw scouts it and trips her up. She proceeds to hit a Michinoku driver variation on Markova for a two count, then a backbreaker to flatliner combo, and it’s not enough for Shaw. She goes high-risk as well, and that’s when Shaw gets a face full of a Superkick, and then the missile dropkick to secure victory.

Alex Taylor says he’s still upset about losing the NWA Junior Heavyweight title to Slade at Samhain, and next week Damian Fenrir will see that he’s still Too Hot to Trot as he stages a Comeback Tour.

Meanwhile, at Ye Olde BitCrush, Miles the Cashier talks to Fenrir, and he sees potential in him to possibly become champion with his help… and a 5% discount at the store.

But now Kyle Davis asks Joe Cazana about his lawsuit now that Billy Corgan is back, so let’s hear from the NWA Territories President:

“Well, first and foremost, Kyle Davis, you stir the pot worse than any witch on Halloween.

Now, then let me say this, and I really, really mean this from the heart, and I want everybody in here to know this, and I want everybody at home to know this. I respect Billy Corgan more than anybody in this room. The man’s done it all. He brought the NWA from the brink of disaster. The man has made the impact of the NWA felt throughout the world, and on top of everything else, the man is a rock star, and he travels the country. He travels the world, and I have nothing but respect for him, and that is how I feel in my heart. And Kyle, as far as the lawsuit that you’re talking about. I’ve been advised by my attorney not to discuss it with you or anyone else.”

On his thoughts about his sons regaining the NWA United States Tag Titles from The Slimeballz, Joe likens them to a piece of gum stuck on the sole of a shoe, and the only way to get rid of them is to scrape them off.

As they cut to a break, we hear from “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason, who notices that some people can’t get out of the way, like Thom Latimer. He squandered every talent, and he’s a worthless S.O.B., in so many words. The champ promises that when Latimer steps on him, he will be a landmine that will explode.

Mondo and Slade are top-tier champs, and they tick differently. Next week, Wrecking Ball Legursky and JAC will see how time works differently for them

We come back to The Gentlemen just manhandling the champs before the bell rings, and it is a Pier Four as KC is sent out and The Slimeballz work over AJ. But one thing I noticed this show is the following as I share an…

(Author’s Note: Seems like most of the matches tonight started with one guy trying to sneak attack the other with little to no effect. It just seemed odd that almost everyone was following the same playbook. Unless whoever booked the show forgot to specify which one was doing the Pearl Harbor.)

Hip toss to KC and the Chantz and Rant demonstrate they weren’t a fluke with their unorthodox offense.

Now order is restored, and KC takes his sweet time, and struts with a Lighting Stikes leg drop on Chantz. Meanwhile, Tyler Francks takes a ringside seat to watch. Clearly, the feud between the JCP and KFW promotions has yet to abate.

The Country Gentlemen have their way beating down Chantz, who is a Slimeball in Peril. He manages to nail a jawbreaker to KC, and he gets the hot tag to Rant, who is a Slimeball En Fuego. He trips AJ to KC, and a running Senton gets Rant a two count. They go for the Snot Rocket finisher, but KC blocks the move. Chantz leaps, and AJ catches him and swings him like a bat on Rant. Now the Gentlemen attempt to finish this up, but meanwhile, Papa Joe and Francks argue at ringside, and he can’t see what’s befalling his sons. Chantz hangs on for dear life as KC sails far away from the target. He attempts a rollup, but AJ hangs on to the ropes. Rant kicks his hands off, and he and ChantZ stack him up for the one two and three
