There is a lot of drama in the National Wrestling Alliance, and Hunter is going to learn tonight the hard way what the consequences of that drama are. He was recently involved in a match with Natalia Markova, at Kylie Paige’s suggestion, and promptly lost to The Russian Crush. Her partner, Bryan Idol, took umbrage at that and suggested they hash it out in the squared circle.
I certainly don’t want to be in Hunter’s shoes.
We’ll see what shakes up in the main event between those two, but let’s first turn to Aron Stevens, and he has this to say:
“An entire career already cemented. A legacy that most people would kill to have. Of course, I’m talking about me, and now Thom Latimer wants to throw out a challenge. Thom Latimer has challenged me to a fight.
I am a manager. I have no business in a professional wrestling ring. I have no business in a wrestling setting. I have no business other than guiding people to where they want to be. But Thom Latimer wants to call me out. Why? Because Thom is not stupid. Thom knows his name next to mine, in any fashion, means Thom Latimer is a bigger star. So here’s what we’re going to do. I am going to take this opportunity, and I’m going to spin it into a good thing. Thom, I accept your challenge, and as long as the NWA title’s on the line, I have no problem with that. But what we’re going to do, since you made the challenge, I shall choose the battlefield.
You are going to have the privilege of coming to my domicile, my home, and cameras are going to be everywhere. That’s right. For the first time ever, I am going to allow cameras into my most private areas, and I am going to record and film your demise. As I said before, Thom, I am by far your most dangerous challenger, because not only am I going to attack you physically, but I will come at you in ways you can’t even imagine yet. See, this is a psy-op I may or may not have been running for years now. My turf, your title. I like those odds, but for reasons of good form, I am going to try and come at you like a gentleman. I will give you the option of doing the right thing and surrendering your title without violence.
The choice is yours. But remember me. Mi casa, su casa.”

Triple Threat Match: La Rosa Negra vs. Kelsey Heather vs. Valentina Rossi
I should point out two things before getting into the match: Heather was once the former Randi Rah Rah of Women of Wrestling (WoW) fame, as is “Saucy” Rossi.
In any case, Negra does not care where they came from as she takes it to both women after a strong start by Rossi early on. The Saucy one lands an impressive split leg drop, and Heather tries to take advantage with a roll up for a two count. As for Negra, she is becoming more aggressive than in previous matches, as she hits a drop toehold to Heather for a pin, and Rossi breaks up the cover. A series of codebreakers by Heather, and then she gives a standing moonsault, but can’t get the pin. Negra with those forearm shivers to Heather, and now she gets a drop toehold. Then she turns to Rossi and gives her an airplane spin. Negra connects with a thrust kick, and she goes up top for the Cokey Splash and sticks the landing for the three count.

The Colóns (Primo and Epico Colón) vs. The Immortals (Odinson and Kratos)
The Colóns try to double-team Kratos early on, but find they are no match for the fury of Most Feared. A tag to Odinson, and he is throwing those Asgardian Uppercuts with reckless abandon. A series of knee drops followed by a leg drop only gets Odinson a two count. A distraction by Epico allows Odinson to lose focus, and now the Colóns take over. They pick apart the arm that Odinson had previously injured, and as they cut the ring in half, he is an Asgardian in Peril. Primo grinds away with joint manipulation on the arm/shoulder of Odinson and uses ropes to torque it further, and then a double running punt kick by the Colóns punctuates their offense. Primo tears off the kinesiology tape from Odinson’s elbow to further aggravate the injury. A desperation Asgardian uppercut allows for some space, and Odinson crawls to his corner. A hot tag to Kratos and the Most Feared is en Fuego and runs roughshod over The Colóns. He whips Primo to the corner and rushes at him, but eats a boot. Primo goes out and tosses in a steel chair, and the ref promptly kicks it out. As Primo bickers with the ref, Kratos gets ready to finish this, but doesn’t see Epico from his blindside. Odinson assists his tag partner and gives one half of The Colóns the Asgardian Pounce, and Kratos delivers with a Blue Thunder bomb on Primo for the pin and the win.

(Author’s Note: Since the last few weeks have all been about the Drama at The Paige house, I can now smell the soap opera coming from these vignettes. It took me a while, but it made me hearken to the days when nightly soaps were the thing, such as the Aaron Spelling/Darren Star shows of yesteryear like Beverly Hills 90210 & Melrose Place. So, in honor of those fine shows, anytime I have to cover this, I shall title it: “Kross Fire Paige 37876™.”)
Anyway, on this new episode of Kross Fire Paige 37876™, Kenzie and Kylie talk.
Well, Kylie is the one talking, and she is feeling confident in Hunter’s main event against Idol. Kenzie is more reserved as she is feeling the pressure. We learn she is engaged to Hunter(!) and has to contend with a wedding, maintaining the house, and defending both the NWA Women’s World Championship and Tag Team Championship, respectively. Kylie suggests she push the date back on her wedding and focus on herself. Kenzie agrees that is what she will do.
Again, as a fan of the aforementioned soaps, can we see where this is leading?
We get our next segment of Decision 2025. Joe Galli moderates with the other potential candidates in Bryan Idol, Joe Cazana, and Trevor Murdoch. They’re also campaigning to be the president in the NWA territory system, however, the difference is that they are not in the lead. Galli points out to Idol that he is polling low. He still feels he is the right man for the job, and calls the polls everything but fake news. Murdoch then says he’ll always do what’s best for the company, and announces that he is suspending his presidential campaign and suggests Idol do the same. Cazana sucks up to both guys, offering Murdoch tickets to the Kansas City Chiefs and two miles of beachfront property in Florida for Idol. Galli wonders why Cazana is blatantly bribing in front of him, and again, I have to ask this…
WHERE WAS THIS TYPE OF BACKBONE IN THE NEWS DURING THE LAST PRESIDENTIAL RACE?!

Let’s get back on track with another tag team match between…
The Lost (Alex Misery and Gaagz the Gymp) vs. Jeremiah Plunkett and Joe Ocasio
Good to see our pal and resident columnist Plunkett in the ring. He hasn’t updated in a while, but who can blame Wrestling’s Last Journeyman© as he still holds the NWA Mid-America title and, according to Galli, he is the self-proclaimed “King of the Territories.”
“Self-proclaimed,” indeed. Pshaw, says I!
Ocasio starts off the match and works over Gaagz, who has a new mask minus the horns, but still the zipper mouth. He manages to tag in Misery, but the Long Island Landmine manages to counter his unorthodox offense. He gives a one-armed turnbuckle suplex and stomps on Misery before he tags in Plunkett. He nails a snap suplex for a two count, and follows with a series of running back elbows. Plunkett jabs away, but misses the knockout. Misery goes for a dropkick, and it doesn’t find the mark. Plunkett monkey flips him into the corner and mounts with punches, until Gaagz gets in the mix for the distraction. Now, Misery takes over as they isolate Plunkett, making him the Last Journeyman in Peril. A bear hug by Gaagz proves ineffective as Plunkett gives a bionic elbow and a clap to his head to make him release the submission. A spinebuster later, Plunkett gets the hot tag to Ocasio, and he is a Landmine en Fuego. Misery attempts with a springboard that misses Ocasio but meets Plunkett’s right hand. An Ocasio Olympic slam to a cover, and Gaagz breaks the count. He chops at the masked man’s chest and then focuses on Misery, who nails a springboard moonsault for a two count, and then eats a short diving headbutt by Ocasio and gives the same to Gaagz. Before he can do more damage, Lev comes in with Father James Mitchell to interfere, and the ref rings the bell because he has no choice but to declare…

Could this possibly be a new group of Miserably Faithful under Mitchell’s satanic eye? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Hunter vs. Bryan Idol
As the bell rings, Idol starts by offering his hand as a show of good sportsmanship. Hunter shakes it and then foolishly chops his chest, with little to no effect. Idol is taking his sweet time with Hunter on offense. He misses a chop, and Hunter fights back before getting a right hand from The Looks that Kill. He tosses Hunter to the outside, and Idol gets ready to dive and then…
Ads with Pastor C-Lo campaigning for the NWA presidency. Hey, it’s still better than the last election.
We come back, and Hunter slips into the ring, but the beatings continue with a slam by Idol. He whips Hunter in the corner, nails a running knee, and then just thrashes the poor kid around. He goes for a cover, and Idol pulls him up by the hair at the two count. He attempts a leg submission until Hunter counters with a head scissors. He finally gets in more offense with a spinning heel kick and a discus forearm, followed by a shooting star press on Idol to cover for a count of two. He attempts a suplex, but the smaller Hunter can’t pull it off. He then lands a missile dropkick by and it’s another near fall. Back up the high-rent district, Hunter attempts a moonsault. Idol moves away, and Hunter lands on his feet. They go back and forth, and Hunter is on the apron edge and tries to get a sunset flip, but he can’t make Idol rotate. He eats a superkick and cinches in a Texas cloverleaf. Hunter struggles but has no choice but to tap out.

After the match, he offers his hand to Hunter and shows respect for the kid in stepping up to his challenge as the fans cheer this show of sportsmanship.
Thom Latimer ends the show with a promo answering the challenge of Aron Stevens, and I’ll let the holder of the Ten Pounds of Gold give his thoughts:
“Aron, I’m gonna do something that you used to do, and that shows some grace. You see, Aron, this might blow your mind, but I looked up to you. Used to admire you. You see, when I moved to America in 2010 and I got off that plane, you’re one of the first guys that I saw, and I already knew who you were. I knew that you wrestled all around the world. I knew that you’re a big star in Puerto Rico. I saw you take guys that had no bearing, no reason to be in the ring with you, and you made them into something. You made them into stars. That’s the kind of guy that you were.
Yeah, you were never given your roses. You are beyond talented. I know talent when I see it, and you are it. You’re the kind of guy that turned dog crap into money. You do it time after time after time. But somewhere along the line, Aron…somewhere along the line, you lost the plot. Somewhere along the line that you’ve thought lies deception, manipulation; it was going to get you somewhere.
It was going to get you stood in my shoes, but it didn’t.
Oh, and Aron? I’m the world champion. That means that I’m a fighting champion, and as a fighting champion, that means that I will fight anywhere. So, Aron, I accept. I accept your invitation to your home. I will walk onto your turf. Because it doesn’t matter where it is, Aron, there’s a perfectly good wrestling ring here. It doesn’t matter here. I’ll rest you on the floor. I wrestle you behind the studios. I’ll wrestle you on a volcano. I’ll wrestle you in a skyscraper. Hell, I’ll wrestle you on the moon, because I’m the best in the world at what I do. And trust me, I know.
I know that you one day should be champion. I know that you should be stood here in my shoes one day, but not now. But not while I’m world champion. See, I’m gonna walk straight down your yard, I’m gonna knock on your door and I’m gonna kick your ass because Aron, that’s the most grace that I can give you.”
