The G1 Climax got underway in Chicago last night with many first time tournament entrants coming out on the winning side such as Yuta-Ice, OSKAR and Aaron Wolf.

As Henare bounces off the ropes, Wolf catches him on his shoulders for an Angle Slam and then a Reverse Angle Slam.

G1 Climax 36 A Block: Shingo Takagi vs Jake Lee
Lee tries the finger poke to the eyes. It doesn’t phase Takagi. Takagi unleashes his punches, head butt. Lee gouges at Takagi’s face, eyes in the ropes. Lee misses his running knee. Takagi suplexs him. Lee gets up and hits his running kick.

G1 Climax 36 B Block: OSKAR vs Ren Narita
Narita leaps off the top rope. Oskar catches him by the throat. Big boot to the face and the Nightmare Sleeper.
Winner: OSKAR
G1 Climax 36 A Block: Yuto-Ice vs Great-O-Khan
Ice escapes the Eliminator with a knee to the face. A punch drops Khan. Ice pins him with his running kick.

The Most Electrifying Wrestler in the World pins Umino with a Zack Driver.

G1 Climax 36 A Block: Hirooki Goto vs SANADA
Goto pins Sanada with a Goto Revolution.

G1 Climax 36 B Block: Callum Newman vs Yuya Uemura
Newman pins Uemura with Make Way For The Prince.

G1 Climax 36 A Block: Ryohei Oiwa vs Boltin Oleg
Oiwa has Oleg in a sleeper. Oiwa climbs to the top rope with Oiwa slamming him down. Oiwa transitions to Oleg’s injured arm. Oleg submits.

G1 Climax 36 A Block: Yota Tsuji vs Konosuke Takeshita
Both men trade shots in the middle of the ring. Tsuji spears Takeshita with a Gene Blaster. Takeshita kicks out. He doesn’t kick out of the Fire Blaster though.
