The unlikely team of El Desperado and Master Wato have climbed to the top of the Super Jr. Tag League Tournament. The team defeated Bullet Club’s War Dogs in Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney at night five of the event.
It took the War Dogs a nano second to take the match to the floor. Both Wato and Desperado were beaten and battered outside the ring. As Desperado battled to get back into the match in the ring, Wato turned things around on Moloney on the floor. Wato returned to the ring just in time to stop Connors from removing Desperado’s mask.
Connors stopped Wato’s momentum with a devastating pounce which lifted Wato out of his boots. The War Dogs cut Wato off from his partner punishing him for what seemed like an eternity. Wato finally escaped Moloney tagging in Desperado. Desperado almost pinned Connors with his own spear and a back suplex.
Connors began to tear at Desperado’s mask again ripping the top of it open. Later in the match, Connors managed to tear Desperado’s mask completely off. What Connors didn’t know is that Desperado has long hair to cover his face. Connors placed Desperado’s head on a steel chair and whacked him in the head with another chair. Desperado kicked out at two. Connors and Moloney retrieved their IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship belts. Wato dove off the top rope taking out Connors before he can do any damage and then drop kicked Moloney clear out of the ring. Desperado pinned Connors with a Pinche Loco on one of the belts.
