It was loads of tag team action at night one of the Road to King of Pro-Wrestling tour which seemed appropriate at the end of the night as the Knock-Out Brothers (Yuto-Ice and OSKAR) have regained the IWGP Tag Team Championships.
Yuto-Ice and OSKAR faced champions HENARE and Great-O-Khan of The United Empire in the main event after promising weeks back to strip them of the titles and humble them in the ring.
Oskar put Khan in his Nightmare Sleeper in the middle of the ring. Khan escaped by…biting Oskar’s arm. Khan then shoved Red Shoes into Oskar. With the official down, Khan hit him with a chop block on that injured knee from behind. Khan took a steel chair and began smashing Oskar’s knee with it. Khan ripped off the knee brace and hefted the chair. Yoto-Ice dove into the ring covering his partner and taking the punishment for him.
Khan threw Ice out of the ring. As Khan swung down with the chair again, Oskar caught him in a chokehold. Henare attacked Oskar from behind. Henare and Khan hit the Imperial Drop…but there is no official. The heels drag Red Shoes back into the ring. Oskar kicks out though. Khan puts Oskar in a leg lock. Ice frees him. Henare puts Ice in his Ultima submission as Khan continues punishing Oskar with his leg lock.
Ice pushes with his legs off the ropes driving Henare into Khan who is still on the mat. That breaks both holds. United Empire hits another Imperial Drop. Oskar still kicks out. They put Oskar on the top rope looking to finish him once and for all. Ice breaks things up. As Ice holds Khan in the corner, Oskar catches Henare as he tries for his spear and slams him to the mat. Khan is KO’ed with KOD and the Knock-Out Brothers are your new champions.
Road to KING OF PRO-WRESTLING 2026 – Night One
Yuya Uemura, Boltin Oleg, Taichi, El Desperado and Taisei Nakahara versus House of Torture (SANADA, Yujiro Takahashi, DOUKI, SHO and Yoshinobu Kanemaru)
Kanemaru hits Nakahara in the back of the knee with his whiskey bottle and then slaps on the figure four. Taichi and Kanemaru get into it after the match. Kanemaru rakes Taichi’s eyes. After the match, Taichi rips on Kanemaru and his tactics. He asks if he is going to end his career like this with these “House of Torture losers”? Taichi offers to tag with Kanemaru on the 17th. Kanemaru declines. Taichi says if there is a pro wrestler left in Kanemaru he will accept.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and Tatsuya Matsumoto versus Robbie X and Taiji Ishimori
Ishimori makes Matsumoto submit to the Bone Lock. X leaps onto Yoh on the floor. X waves the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship in his face. They meet tomorrow for the title.
Winners: Robbie X and Taiji Ishimori
Shota Umino, Toru Yano and Master Wato versus House of Torture (Ren Narita, Shun Skywalker and Dick Togo)
As the official stops Narita from bringing a chair into the ring, Togo chokes out Wato with his garotte. Wato is held so that Togo can hit his chop to the groin from the second rope. Skywalker pins Wato Skyfall.
“Is this all NJPW has?” asked Skywalker after the match.
Winners: House of Torture (Ren Narita, Shun Skywalker and Dick Togo)
Unbound Co. (Jeff Cobb and Daiki Nagai) versus United Empire (Callum Newman and Zane Jay)
Jay runs the ropes and gets kicked in the head by Cobb. Cobb picks up Jay powerslams him into a turnbuckle and onto the mat. Cobb puts Jay away with Tour of the Islands.
Winners: Unbound Co. (Jeff Cobb and Daiki Nagai)
Aaron Wolf, Hechicero and Masatora Yasuda versus TMDK (Kosei Fujita, Zack Sabre Jr. and Robbie Eagles)
Eagles pins Yasuda with the Hyperion Kick. Fujita and Wolf brawl on the floor. Wolf locks on a sleeper. Young Lions try to pull him off. Wolf lets go and grabs his title. Fujita spears him into the ringside barricade. He attacks and chokes Wolf some more.
Winners: TMDK (Kosei Fujita, Zack Sabre Jr. and Robbie Eagles)
Unbound Co. (Yota Tsuji and Shingo Takagi) versus TMDK (Ryohei Oiwa and Hartley Jackson)
Takagi hits Jackson with clothesline after clothesline off the ropes. He doesn’t fall. A haymaker and a pumping bomber does though. Takagi holds up Jackson for Tsuji’s Gene Blaster spear. Oiwa and Tsuji get in each other’s faces after the match.
Winners: Unbound Co. (Yota Tsuji and Shingo Takagi)
