The floundering Suzuki-gun team of Yoshinobu Kanemaru and DOUKI finally scored their second win of Super Jr. Tag League by defeating the current IWGP Junior Tag Team Champions – United Empire’s Francesco Akira and TJP. Douki got the pin by hitting Akira with a springboard DDT from the apron and his Suplex de La Luna finisher.
The only other team Yoshinobu Kanemaru and DOUKI have beaten is Kushida and Kevin Knight as they have only won two of their seven matches in the tournament.
The winners of the tournament get to challenge for the titles at Wrestle Kingdom. If the champs win, they get to pick their opponents.
