The AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament concludes tonight with the Babes of Wrath taking on the Timeless Love Bombs!
The Continental Classic chugs along with two more Gold League matches tonight. “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada faces “Jungle” Jack Perry, who’s subbed in for Darby Allin. And the “Protostar” Kyle Fletcher fights “Speedball” Mike Bailey!
On top of Samoa Joe defending his AEW Men’s World Championship against Eddie Kingston, we have Swerve Strickland teaming with “Hangman” Adam Page against Katsuyori Shiabata and Powerhouse Hobbs!

The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship match is up first!
1. Babes of Wrath vs. Timeless Love Bombs in the final of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament
Cameron and Shirakawa start us off. Neither can get an early advantage until Cameron gets a shot in to stop both of them. Shirakawa slows it down and lands a kick to Cameron’s mid-section. After the two collide, both make tags.
The crowd gets split down the middle, supporting both equally. The two exchange forearms and then Shirakawa and Cameron get into the hockey fight.
The Timeless Love Bombs get sent to the outside and Cameron sets them up for a cannonball from Nightingale.

Storm hits Cameron with a backbreaker and the Timeless Love Bombs isolate her in their corner. Storm drops Shirakawa onto Cameron but the pinfall only yields a two-count. Cameron fights back with a suplex and tags in Nightingale. She goes after both opponents but Shirakawa gets a kick in. She takes both of them down with a double lariat and then shoulder tackles Storm out of the ring.
Back from commercial, Cameron has Shirakawa in a headlock but Shirakawa fights out of it. Nightingale tags in and lands a solid chop to Shirakawa’s chest before falling to a DDT off the ropes.
Storm tags in and goes after both, dropping Cameron with a DDT. She looks for the Chicken Wing but Nightingale makes the save with a shot to her back. Shirakawa hits a Figure Four and drops Nightingale with a DDT. Cameron gets put back into a Figure Four but reverses it before Storm intervenes!
Storm and Nightingale get involved too. Storm and Nightingale hit headbutts before Cameron and Shirakawa drop the other two. All four stay down for a moment.
Cameron gets hit from behind. Shirakawa hits a Sling Blade and Storm follows with Storm Zero! Nightingale breaks it up and drops Storm with a suplex outside the ring.
Cameron reverses on Shirakawa and Nightingale hits a powerbomb! Shirakawa stays down!
Winners: The Babes of Wrath are the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions!
Renee Paquette is in the ring with the new champions. Nightingale says they’re tired after a hard-fought match but proud of both of them.
Storm and Shirakawa shake hands with their opponents after a tough match.
Samoa Joe and The Opps are backstage. Joe is happy for Kingston’s chance tonight. But Samoa Joe says he is ruthless by design and doesn’t care about men like Kingston. The man that Kingston looked up to is now the man who is going to “show [Eddie] the reaily of what this industry is.”
The Death Riders are in a stair well and Jon Moxley is pumped up. He’s with Marina Shafir, Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel Garcia. He’s not succumbing to the pressure. “We’re the hungriest group of individuals in professional wrestling,” Moxley says. Garcia says they’re out to get what they want.
2. “Jungle” Jack Perry (0-0-1)* vs. Kazuchika Okada (1-0-1) in the Continental Classic Gold League
*Perry inherits Darby Allin’s loss to Kevin Knight in the Continental Classic.
The bell rings and Perry charges right at Okada. This is Perry’s first singles match in over a year and he’s in the ring with arguably the best-ever tournament wrestler. He makes sure to get in his offense early.

Perry breaks out a drop kick after getting pushed into the barricade. Perry hits an elbow strike off the ropes but Okada kicks out of the cover.
Okada counters and kicks Perry, dropping him to the outside and catching a camera grip. Okada follows up with a DDT as Perry is still feeling the drop on the outside.
Back from commercial, Perry gains a moment as he clotheslines Okada. Both take a few seconds before Perry hits Okada with a German suplex. Okada comes back with a neck breaker. Okada hits an elbow drop off the top rope. Perry ducks two Rainmakers and hits a reverse huricanrana. A running knee strike but Okada kicks out at two!
Okada bites Perry’s wrist as he goes for a submission hold. He looks for a Tombstone Piledriver and gets bitten where you absolutely don’t want to get bit! Perry hits the snare trap this time but Okada crawls to the rope!
Okada hits the Rainmaker but keeps wrist control. Perry ducks the second and avoids the Missile Drop Kick. Okada comes back again and hits another Rainmaker!
Winner: Kazuchika Okada (2-0-1) beats Jack Perry (0-0-2) for three points in the Gold League.
The Don Callis Family comes out. Callis commends Perry. Callis says he chose wrongly when he wanted the Young Bucks to join. He offers Perry the chance to join, on top of a signing bonus. He threatens Perry as seven members of the Family are in the ring.
Perry takes the mic and starts the fight. Luchasaurus weighs his options but the Young Bucks jump the Family from behind with chairs. Okada and the Bucks have their moment as he gets hit with a BTE Trigger. Callis is between Jurassic Express and the Bucks. The Family gets wiped out as they take the hits for Callis.
The Conglomeration and the Babes of Wrathe are backstage. Roderick Strong isn’t having a good time.
A video package for Mercedes Mone airs after she lost her ROH Women’s Championship to Red Velvet at Final Battle on Friday. She still has 12 belts, but “where does she go from here?”
Renee Paquette is backstage with Eddie Kingston. He says he’s nervous but fear is good. Today is the 50th anniversary of Terry Funk’s surprise win. He says he’s going to give Joe the fight of his life.
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and introduces the new TNT Champion, Mark Briscoe. He defends his title against Daniel Garcia Saturday on Collision – in Cardiff, Wales!
Briscoe respectfully sends a message to his haters. Give you one guess what the message is! He gets cut off by Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and Marina Shafir as they come to the ring. Garcia says everything about Briscoe is “kinda sad”. He says he’s going to break Briscoe’s leg Saturday. Big mistake!
Briscoe is ready for a fight tonight. He gets dropped with a right hand and Shafir and Yuta hold him back before they leave the ring.
The Triangle of Madness are backstage attacking wrestlers but Kris Statlander shows up and fights back with a chair. Skye Blue, Julia Hart, and Thekla are chased off as they get hit one after another.
3. Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Swerve Strickland and “Hangman” Adam Page in a Tornado Tag Match
Page is up in the stands and Prince Nana and Swerve are in another section up top. Both have chains.
Shibata and Hobbs send The Opps Dojo after them but that’s not going to end well.
The match hasn’t even officially begun! Both are outside on the concourse. Powerhouse Hobbs snaps a tree in half because he can. Guess he’s getting a lump of coal. Page drops him onto a table and throws the tree. Coal all around! Strickland and Shibata fight in front of the merch stand.
Back from commercial, Page and Hobbs finally get in the ring and the bell rings. The Opps take control as Strickland is down and takes time getting back to the ring.
Prince Nana distracts Hobbs and buys time for Strickland, who lands a high boot on Hobbs. Strickland hits a brainbuster and then a boot to Shibata’s jaw. Page goes for a Buckshot on Shibata but Hobbs distracts the ref and Shibata hits Page below the belt!
Strickland hits Shibata with a Swerve Stomp off the ropes, breaking up a jiju gatame on Page.

Hobbs hits Shibata as Strickland and Page ducks. They hit Hobbs with a double elbow. Page and Strickland stare each other down. They drop Hobbs through a table. Page hits Shibata with a Buckshot Lariat and Strickland follows with a House Call!
Winners: “Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland. Josh Alexander looks on backstage. He takes on Strickland Saturday on Collision.
Don Callis challenges the Young Bucks to find a third partner and have a six-man tag match Saturday on Collision.
Backstage, Big Stoke is upset. What else is new? He says the most addictive drug is the AEW camera. He doesn’t think Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson deserve a chance at the titles.
4. “Speedball” Mike Bailey (0-0-1) vs. “The Protostar” (2-0-0) Kyle Fletcher in the Continental Classic Gold League
Bailey calls this match a must-win as he doesn’t want to start the tournament with two losses.
Both evade each other’s moves but Fletcher looks like he previously underestimated Bailey. Fletcher is forced outside the ring and has to take his time getting back in.
Bryan Danielson points to the only other time these two faced off, a singles match in 2018.
Fletcher hammers Bailey and then lands two leaping stomps to Bailey. Bailey evades with agility and drops him with two huricanranas!

Fletcher intercepts the crossbody and drives Bailey down. Bailey lands on his feet as Fletcher tosses him. Bailey takes down Fletcher with a combination of kicks.
He misses on a Shooting Star Press. Fletcher gets sent to the outside with a low bridge and Bailey hits a Torkneedo. After taking a hit, Bailey comes back and drops Fletcher onto the top of the barricade. Fletcher fights back and drops Bailey on his back. Bailey’s back shows a big bruise from the drop.
Back from commercial, both are on the outside of the ropes. Baily avoids the half-n-half and hits his knee drop onto Fletcher! Bailey looks for the Flamingo drop but Fletcher fights it off, only to get dropped on his back. Bailey gets on the top rope and Fletcher’s feet get up into Bailey’s face on a Shooting Star Press! He tosses Bailey into the opposite corner and then hits a powerbomb. But Bailey kicks out!
The two get to their feet and exchange heavy chops. Bailey counters but gets two on the count! Bailey gets a PK and a knee drop! Head kick! Fletcher kicks out at two again!
Massive kick to Fletcher’s head but he kicks out yet again! Fletcher comes back with a kick and Bailey lands three more of his own. Ultima Weapon! Fletcher AGAIN kicks out!
Bailey mistimes a knee drop but kicks out AGAIN after Fletcher covers him! Fletcher rocks Bailey with a lariat but WITH A MINUTE REMAINING, Bailey lands the three-count!
Winner: “Speedball” Mike Bailey (1-0-1) beats Kyle Fletcher (2-0-1) for three points in the Gold League.
Renee Paquette is backstage with Page. He’s going to watch the main event and wants his title shot at World’s End!
The Young Bucks are backstage and ask Luchasaurus. He declines but points to Kenny Omega’s door. He says he’s not in it for the money. He’ll do it for free, so long as the Don Callis Family is on the other side.
5. Samoa Joe (c) vs. “The Mad King” Eddie Kingston for the AEW Men’s World Championship
Both probe in the middle of the ring. HOOK lightly grabs Kingston’s foot and the ref tosses him quickly.
Kingston gets Joe in a headlock but Joe hits a back drop suplex. Joe takes control and backs Kingston into the corner. It’s crazy how he does this with ease.

Kingston hits a running drop, planting Joe’s head on the mat.
Back from commercial, Joe and Kingston exchange heavy hits and Kingston gets the better of the hits as Joe lands on his back again. Kingston decks the champ and has the upper hand so far.
Joe turns the tables and keeps his foot on Kingston’s face. Kingston gets stifled but the crowd starts to rally behind him. The crowd quickly splits, though. Fair enough. Samoa Joe is one of one.
After taking two lariats, Joe evades the third and hits a power slam. Kingston kicks out at two. Knees to Kingston’s jaw but the challenger hits heavy chops. Kingston hits an exploder! But Joe kicks out at two.
Samoa Joe locks in the STF but Kingston bites his thumb! Kingston fights but Joe hits the Coquina Clutch.
Winner: and still AEW Men’s World Champion, Samoa Joe.
