It’s Wednesday! You know what that means!
Tonight’s show will tell which sides get the entrance advantage for both the men’s and the women’s Blood & Guts matches next week.
As well, TBS Champion Mercedes Mone and ROH Women’s World Champion Athena take on Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron in the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament and AEW Men’s World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page teams up with HOOK and Eddie Kingston to take on The Opps in a non-title trios match.
*Queen Aminata, who was set to face Megan Bayne in an advantage match, is not medically cleared. Mina Shirakawa will be subbing in for tonight’s advantage match and for Blood and Guts next week.*
Seeing as Dynamite is at the Bayou Music Center… “Houston, we have lift-off!”
Tony Schiavone is in the ring as the show gets underway. He mentions a new National Championship in AEW but is interrupted by Samoa Joe’s music and The Opps coming out.
Samoa Joe says “Houston, we have a problem!” He calls out Schiavone and the crowd chants “TONY! TONY! TONY!” Joe is not thrilled after the deception that he says Schiavone was involved in last week. Joe says there are consequences. The Opps surround Joe on the apron and security rushes out.
“Hangman” Adam Page comes out quickly after, causing The Opps to retreat. But The Opps aren’t phased… Until Eddie Kingston and HOOK show up ready for a fight.

HOOK grabs the mic and dares The Opps to put the Trios Titles on the line in the main event tonight! Joe is incensed but agrees.
1. “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy vs. Claudio Castagnoli – Men’s Blood & Guts advantage match 1
Among the Death Riders, Castagnoli undoubtedly has the best entrances. This is not up for debate.
Circling the ring, Castagnoli gets surprised as Cassidy hits him with two tope suicidas before the bell even rings. Cassidy gets thrown into the ring ropes but Cassidy fights back.
As Castagnoli goes for a massive European Uppercut, Cassidy counters with an arm drag. Castagnoli grabs Cassidy and holds him up, dropping him roughly on the barricade.

Cassidy gets on Castagnoli’s back and locks in a triangle choke. Castagnoli counters by trying to spin but Cassidy hangs on. The Swiss Machine gets a hold of Cassidy’s fingers and then spins him off.
Back from commercial break, Castagnoli is in complete control. He drops Cassidy with a gut wrench drop. Cassidy fights back with a PK. Cassidy hits a DDT on the floor and the crowd is way into it. Castagnoli is forced to kick out of a cover attempt.
Castagnoli goes into a crossface but Cassidy fights out quickly. Tied up in the ropes, Cassidy is subject to big chops but he counters off the ropes with a Stun Dog Millionaire. Popped up, he hits a mid-air Orange punch. Claudio comes right back with a European Uppercut..
Winner: Claudio Castagnoli via pinfall. Advantage – Death Riders
Renee Paquette is backstage with Mark Briscoe, TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, and Don Callis. Briscoe wants a response to his challenge from Fletcher himself, not Callis. He wants a No Disqualifications match at Full Gear.
Callis ups the stakes, saying that Briscoe will join the Don Callis Family if he loses at Full Gear. Briscoe accepts!
Ahead of Full Gear, Renee Paquette is backstage with the Young Bucks, Josh Alexander, and Don Callis. Callis wants the Young Bucks to get the respect they deserve. The Family joins and Kazuchika Okada stays behind. “Don’t take too much time.” Hmmm…
2. “The CEO” Mercedes Mone and “The Fallen Goddess” Athena vs. Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron in the Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament
Before the bell rings, Athena and Mone attack their opponents. Mone starts against Cameron as the bell rings.
Athena tags in and they isolate Cameron in their corner. Cameron hits a backdrop suplex and tags in Nightingale. She lands a drop kick from the second rope, getting both opponents down. Athena breaks up the pinfall as Cameron covers Mone.
Cameron sustains a beating from both opponents but they can’t keep her down for three seconds, failing on multiple cover attempts. This starts to get to Mone.

Back from commercial break, Cameron is still in the ring as Mone and Athena have her singled out. Cameron hits a double crucifix bomb and Nightingale follows up with a double lariat.
Nightingale hits a cannonball to Athena in the corner but Athena fights back and makes the tag. Cameron hits Soul Food on Mone after she drops Nightingale with a back breaker.
Mone gets a Statement Maker on Cameron but Nightingale bodychecks Athena into Mone to force the break. Athena hits a solid combo of kicks to Nightingale but she comes back with a massive lariat.
Athena picks up Nightingale and Cameron, dropping them both. The pinfall is unsuccessful. Billie Starkz rushes out and grabs the ROH Women’s Championship. Kris Statlander rushes out and neutralizes the threat.
Harley Cameron hits her finisher and pins Mone.
Winners: The Babes of Wrath, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron advance in the tournament via pinfall.
Tony Schiavone announces a Casino Gauntlet match at Full Gear, with the winner being the first AEW National Championship. This championship was on TBS 40 years ago. He brings out two of the men that have signed contracts to be a part of this match – Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. MVP accompanies them to the ring.
MVP has to make sure it’s really Schiavone after last week. If Lashley and Benjamin end up facing each other, MVP says the AEW audience wins. They are interrupted by The Demand. Ricochet says he’ll be fast. The crowd is hot!
Ricochet says it doesn’t matter how old The Hurt Syndicate are, but he admires them still going after titles. He reminds THS that he will ensure they won’t win any gold. He asks Lashley how his back’s doing. MVP says nobody cares what Ricochet says. The crowd has something to cheer about now. Ricochet says he will win the Casino Gauntlet match.
Jurassic Express are backstage. Jack Perry knows the Young Bucks have been struggling. He leaves a $100 bill outside Don Callis’ door. He has to tell Luchasaurus to leave it!
3. Darby Allin vs. Daniel Garcia – Men’s Blood & Guts advantage match 2
Jon Moxley gives Garcia a pep talk before he comes out.
Garcia starts with a drop but can’t capitalize. He uses an illegal hold and attacks the ear of Allin. Garcia uses the turnbuckle, choking Allin for a few seconds before the referee has to move him off. Allin gets an advantage and attacks Garcia’s left arm in the ring post.
The fight spills outside and Allin gets back in the ring first but gets pulled back out again. Garcia gets him in the ring apron and kicks his head before throwing him into the steel steps.

Back from commercial break, Allin gets catapulted into the corner but he comes back and puts Garcia in a trap guillotine. Garcia gets out as Allin didn’t have his hands locked.
Up on the ropes, Garcia hits a Superplex but Allin comes right back with a Scorpion Death Drop. Garcia drops Allin again and he falls outside the ring. Garcia gets Allin’s neck behind the steel steps and then demands a count-out. Allin gets up but gets hit by PAC out of nowhere, keeping him down. Right as the referee gets to nine, Allin dives back into the ring.
Garcia’s definitely been in the gym with Moxley, slapping Allin’s chest as he grabs his throat. Scorpion Death Lock cinched in in the middle of the ring. Allin gets close to the rope and then counters, getting Garcia in the Scorpion Death Lock. Garcia taps.
Winner: Darby Allin via pinfall.
PAC attacks from behind and then Orange Cassidy comes out. Wheeler Yuta surprises Cassidy from behind. Castagnoli and Moxley join as Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong also enter the fray. The Death Riders still have the advantage and take control. Strong gets the jump and forces the Death Riders to retreat.
FTR come out ahead of their Men’s Tag Team Title match against Brodido at Full Gear. Cash Wheeler says they should have been three-time champions at Forbidden Door in London.
He calls Brodido to come out to the ring. Their music hits but they don’t come out. Renee Paquette is backstage and Stoke is up against a door where they can’t come out. Brodido’s family is ringside and FTR wastes no time in disrespecting them. Bandido’s brother Gravity gets out but FTR attack him. Brody King punches through the door and Brodido rush out to the ring in time.
“Timeless” Toni Storm comes out to join commentary.
5. Mina Shirakawa vs. Megan Bayne (with Penelope Ford) – Women’s Blood & Guts advantage match 1
Shirakawa and Bayne lock up, a clear advantage for Bayne. She goes for an early lateral press cover very early.
The crowd chants “MINA!” as she drops Bayne outside the ring and lands on top of her. Bayne comes back and throws Shirakawa in the ring, dropping her easily.
Back from commercial break, Shirakawa drops Bayne and lands a Torkneeo but can’t end it. Bayne easily hits a massive German Suplex. Shirakawa comes back with a rolling elbow to the back of Bayne’s neck. Storm gets attacked from behind by Marina Shafir
With a hand extended for help from Tony Schiavone, “Timeless” Toni Storm gets attacked by Marina Shafir!

Winner: Megan Bayne via pinfall. Advantage – Bayne, Shafir, Mone, and the Triangle of Madness.
All 12 women in the Blood & Guts match fill the ring, with the exception of Mercedes Mone. She stops at the ring but is surprised from behind by Kris Statlander.
6. The Opps (c) vs. “Hangman” Adam Page, Eddie Kingston, and HOOK for the AEW World Trios Championship
Joe and Page start off for their teams and Joe ducks out, tagging in Shibata. He and Page exchange rapid-fire elbows.

Page drops him quickly but Shibata kicks out.
HOOK tags in. Shibata takes control and drags HOOK to The Opps’ corner, tagging in Powerhouse Hobbs. He and HOOK know each other well from their days in Team Taz. HOOK hits a clean suplex on Hobbs.
Back from commercial break, it’s Joe taking it to Kingston after Shibata softened him up. Joe body checks Kingston and then he and Page lock eyes for a moment. HOOK is currently on the floor, neutralized by his former allies in The Opps.
Kingston fights back as he always does and Joe comes up empty on the senton from Joe. Page and Hobbs tag in and Page gives him the low bridge. Hobbs picks him up but Page sends him face first into the ring post. Back in the ring, he hits a moonsault but Hobbs kicks out at 2.5 to preserve the match for the time being.
HOOK is back in the fray now but gets dropped again by Shibata. Outside the ring, Hobbs tosses Page. Joe plants Kingston on the mat as he body checks him again.
Page hits rolling elbows on the top of the entrance ramp but get driven into a wooden table that immediately caves in. Back in the ring, Kingston ducks a kick from Shibata. The kick drops Joe. Hobbs rushes in and flattens Kingston in the corner. HOOK tries to attack Hoobs but gets picked up. He taps to a back breaker as his lower back is still not 100%.
Winners: The Opps retain via submission.
