The first Dynamite after a big PPV just hits different. Nashville, TN gets their turn hosting AEW tonight, live from The Pinnacle.
Still riding the high of Full Gear, winners will look to gloat and brag while the others will search for answers. Take it away, Excalibur!
1. Kyle Fletcher (0-0-0) vs. Kazuchika Okada (0-0-0) in the Continental Classic – Gold League
Rightfully so, “Holy Shit!” Chants ring out as the match starts.
They both go to shake hands but catch each other trying to kick. Shoves exchanged before they touch hands and get it going. The two mostly wrestle to a stalemate until The Protostar knocks The Rainmaker down with a shoulder tackle.

He goes for a lateral press but Okada kicks out. Don Callis points out that you really can’t beat Okada in under five minutes. He may have a point.
Back from commercial, Okada picks up the Aussie and drops him. Okada goes to the ropes but Fletcher pushes the ref into the ropes, getting Okada back for doing the same earlier. They both fall and feel it but Fletcher gets the upper hand after.
Don Callis says the build of Okada and Fletcher is the “Lou Thesz” model, a staple of his Family. But what about El Clon, Callis?
Fletcher gets dropped on his face on the ring apron and Okada drops him to the floor as both take some time to recover. Okada throws Fletcher back in the ring and drops him on his back. Fletcher kicks out. The two get up and exchange albows. Both trade kicks and Okada hits another, then pile drives him. Fletcher comes right back with a Michinoku Driver.
Neither can capitalize as the crowd chants “A E DUB!” With less than five minutes left in the match, Fletcher gets elbows in but Okada comes back with the Rainmaker. Fletcher dodges the second and then hits a powerbomb. Okada kicks out at 2.99999999.
The referee almost gets hit again but Fletcher rolls up Okada for a casa dora!
Winner: Kyle Fletcher (1-0-0) pins Kazuchika Okada (0-1-0) for three points.
The two shake hands but not before Okada teases him a bit.
Lexi Nair is backstage and finds Kenny Omega. She asks about him and the Young Bucks being back together. Omega says the answer isn’t so simple. He hasn’t made a decision yet, either way. He’s ready for it, if they think he’s worth a second chance.
Awkward silence for a moment before the Bucks come out of the same door.
After commercial, a clip of Mark Briscoe after his win Saturday night airs. He reflects on his journey since losing his brother Jay. There were a lot of lows. “When family’s on the line … that changes everything.”
2. Babes of Wrath vs. Sisters of Sin in the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament Semifinal
Julia Hart and Harley Cameron start off. Hart goes for a handshake but Cameron knows it’s a trick. She gets a headlock in but Nightingale is able to tag in. Both of them drop Hart and Nightingale hits an assisted senton.

Skye Blue breaks up the cover. She tags in and goes for Nightingale but gets dropped. Blue evades a drop and tags in Hart.
Hart drops Nightingale off the ropes and goes for a cover on Cameron. Cameron fights out of it with assistance from Nightingale on the outside. Cameron gets some punches in before Blue fights back and drops her.
Hart does a tightrope walk as we’re back from commercial. She and Blue work quick tags, isolating Cameron in their corner. She drops Blue after a standing switch and she tags in Nightingale as Blue tags in Hart. She drops Hart with a boot to the head. Blue gets a tag, unbeknownst to Nightingale. She hits a DDT and her and Hart get Nightingale down. She comes back and drops both.
Stampede on Blue before Cameron drops onto her. Blue kicks out. Cameron comes back with a Russian leg sweep. Blue retaliates with a thrust kick to Cameron’s head. Hart gets an elbow drop. Cameron gets dropped and then kicked in the face by both Sisters. she Nightingale tags in and drops Hart as Cameron drops Blue! Nightingale pins Hart.
Winners: Babes of Wrath are through to the final in the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships Tournament.
Back from commercial, new AEW Men’s World Champion Samoa Joe and The Opps come out to celebrate his shocking win at Full Gear. He is the first AEW Champion to hold two World titles at once, with the Trios titles as well.
Samoa Joe tells Tony Schiavone to exit the ring. He’s cut off by Swerve Strickland entering the arena and walking beside “Hangman” Adam Page. Both are wielding chains. Joe tries to get louder than the crowd as The Opps Dojo come out while the crowd chants “Whose House? Swerve’s House!”
HOOK is not out with The Opps. A video airs, summarizing how Joe got the win with HOOK coming back. Samoa Joe introduces HOOK and he comes out with the smuggest look. The crowd boos. HOOK calls the crowd “rednecks” and calls himself the greatest second-generation wrestler the business has ever seen.
He gets cut off by Strickland’s entrance music and he is in the back, not taking the entrance ramp. Page’s music hits and he’s on the concourse at a bar before making his way. He and Strickland take out members of The Opps Dojo. The Opps high-tail it out of the ring as Page and Strickland take out the Dojo members.
After his loss at Full Gear, Jon Moxley was incensed backstage Saturday.
“Don’t celebrate the regular season. The playoffs about to start.” Hmmm… I wonder if certain sports teams could adopt that mindset!
3. Jon Moxley (0-0-0) vs. Mascara Dorada (0-0-0) in the Continental Classic – Blue League
The crowd chants “You tapped out!” as the bell rings.
The two circle and Dorada goes for an ankle lock but Moxley gets out of it. Unable to get a submission hold, Moxley opts for raw power, using his size advantage.
Dorada drops onto Moxley from the rope. He goes for a leap off the ramp as Moxley is standing on the floor. Moxley gains the advantage with a stiff arm strike to Dorada’s face.

Back from commercial, Moxley is in firm control. Dorada fights out as both are on the ring steps. Dorada uses a drop toe hold to send Moxley into the steel steps.
Dorada fights back with a drop off the top rope, landing on Moxley outside the ring. Moxley is faltering but hits a cutter in the ring, regaining momentum. Dorada gets Moxley into an armbar but he fights back and hits a running knee strike off the ropes.
He goes for a Death Rider but Dorada counters, hitting a near pinfall. Dorada hits a 450 Splash but Moxley kicks out. Dorada gets the better of Moxley with another kick to the midsection. Moxley gets the knees up as Dorada goes for another 450 Splash. Moxley submits him for three points, getting a much-needed win.
Winner: Jon Moxley (1-0-0) submits Mascara Dorada (0-1-0) for three points.
“Timeless” Toni Storm hits the ring as Marina Shafir is also with Moxley now that the match is over. She says she likes “Jonny” despite his admiration for cargo pants. She says her violence that comes from a place of love is worse than his violence that comes from hate. She calls Shafir Moxley’s “cavewoman daughter”. Yeesh.
Mina Shirakawa shows her face. NO TAGS. NO DQ. HARDCORE HOLIDAY DEATH MATCH.
Renee Paquette is backstage with AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander. What’s next for her, you might be thinking? She’s not stopping. She knows where she’s going and asks “who’s coming with me?”
4. Darby Allin (0-0-0) vs. Kevin Knight (0-0-0) in the Continental Classic – Gold League
The two show respect before locking up.
Knight locks Allin’s head between his legs but Allin gets out. Knight connects with a kick to Allin’s face. Both exchange high-risk moves that connect.

Avalanche back suplex connects from Knight. Back from commercial, both are on the ropes and Allin gets dropped, landing outside the ring after both end up on the mat.
Allin lays out for a drop kick off the entrance ramp, sending Knight’s spine into the barricade. Knight is forced to escape the pinfall.
Both counter each other and fall in the middle of the ring. Knight hits a pendulum DDT on the ramp but Knight stumbles back into the ring, opting for a count-out.
Knight goes over the top rope and hits a massive lariat. Knight goes COAST-TO-COAST, hitting a missile drop kick from the opposite end of the ring. He keeps Allin down.
Winner: Kevin Knight (1-0-0) pins Darby Allin (0-1-0) for three points.
The two shake hands after a crazy match that could have gone either way.
Eddie Kingston is backstage and he does not want to talk about HOOK. He calls out Katsuyori Shibata for a match on Collision tomorrow night!
5. “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy (0-0-0) vs. Claudio Castagnoli (0-0-0) in the Continental Classic – Blue League
Castagnoli goes right at Cassidy but gets rolled up for an early pinfall attempt, forcing Castagnoli to kick out immediately. Castagnoli hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.
Look, I’m as much of a metalhead as the next guy, but this ain’t how you headbang.

Castagnoli takes control as both are on the outside. Castagnoli grabs Cassidy outside, near the commentary desk, and spins him into the barricade… twice.
Back from commercial, Cassidy gets a rush of adrenaline only to get rag-dolled by Castagnoli. Cassidy uses his body control to counter, hitting a DDT. Cassidy finally gets his hands in his pockets but has sustained too much damage to connect on a Beach Break. He gets a DDT to hit on the floor. Cassidy gets control but Castagnoli hits a pop-up uppercut. Cassidy kicks out of the cover.
Cassidy gets some hammer-and-anvil elbows. Cassidy counters the Neutralizer but Castagnoli gets the Giant Swing. Cassidy hits a shortened Orange Punch. He lands another DDT. Pop-up Orange Punch. Beach Break. Castagnoli kicks out!
Castagnoli evades an Orange Punch. He hits his uppercut.
Winner: Claudio Castagnoli (1-0-0) pins “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy (0-1-0) for three points.
Renee Paquette is in the ring with the Death Riders. The interview gets interrupted as Cassidy tries to attack Wheeler Yuta after being taunted. Bodies empty from the back and chaos ensues. Okada stands at the top of the ramp, witnessing the mayhem.
