It’s the middle of the week (already!) again. Thanks, short work week here north of the 49th parallel. (See what I did there? Yeah, okay. I’ll leave the comedy to the comedians).
This is the go-home Dynamite before WrestleDream this Saturday in St. Louis, MO. So far, eight matches are scheduled for the main card. It wouldn’t be surprising to see one or two more get added tonight!
Ahead of her title defense against former AEW Women’s World champion “Timeless” Toni Storm, current champion Kris Statlander and her challenger both channel their inner My Chemical Romance with a segment dubbed “Famous Last Words” tonight. Early 2000s scene kids (like myself), rejoice!
Here. We. Go!
The show starts with a preview of some of the WrestleDream matches and matches tonight.
We start with Renee Paquette backstage seated with Kris Statlander and “Timeless” Toni Storm. Storm says losing the title was supposed to be freeing but she’s lost without it. Statlander says she can’t be figured out as she’s “always evolving”. She says she’s already different than when she won the title at All Out. She vows to put down her challenger. Storm comes back saying that everyone lies and the truth will be revealed. Paquette is beside herself by the end of the short interview.
FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT

Both women enter the ring and go at each other right away. Why wait until Saturday? Storm offers herself for a free shot as Statlander holds the title. She’s dazed by a headbutt and then offers herself for a free shot with the title in Storm’s hands. She also can’t do it that way. She kisses Statlander’s forehead before exiting the ring.
Jack Perry is behind the entrance and he says he respects the Young Bucks. But he says they also left him hanging when he needed them the most. Luchasaurus was there for him then.
1. Gates of Agony vs. The Hurt Syndicate
Bishop Kaun starts against Shelton Benjamin.
They talk some ish to each other before they start clubbing each other. Kaun goes for a Suplex rather early but Benjamin fights him off and tags in Bobby Lashley. Lashley picks up Kaun and drops him easily. He falls to a Swinging Neckbreaker but is able to fight out.
Shout out Ricochet always wearing Eagles gear. Go birds!
Toa Liona gets tagged in but immediately gets hit with a Lariat from Benjamin, falling outside the ring. He takes control back, dropping Benjamin and using the barricade to his advantage.
There aren’t many humans that can do this and make it look so easy.

Back from commercial, Liona has control of Lashley and takes a boot to the chest. He responds with a Release German Suplex. Both men make tags. Ricochet saves Kaun from Benjamin in the corner but gets met with a knee to the jaw. Benjamin counters Liona with a DDT but Liona gets up and headbutts him quite easily. Lashley hits Liona with a Lariat. Liona and Lashley clothesline each other on the outside. Benjamin hits a Belly-to-Belly Suplex on Kaun. Ricochet hits a Spirit Gun behind the ref’s back. MVP clocks him outside but Kaun takes advantage.
Winners: Gates of Agony via pinfall.
This is apparently the first time The Hurt Syndicate have been pinned in the ring in AEW!
The clip of Allin attacking Moxley at New York Comic-Con this past week airs and Bryan Danielson says the two have gone way past the confines of a match.
The two met earlier today in an “undisclosed location” which looks a lot like a prison visiting area. Moxley says the game was rigged in his favor at All Out but this time they both have the same advantage. Moxley asks Allin what the two are going to do.
Allin rebuffs the offer of joining the Death Riders. He says he doesn’t respect Moxley. “Why would I wanna go to war with somebody who stabs his brother in the back?” Moxley says he did all he could for Bryan Danielson.
Sacrifices. Hard decisions. Things that need to be done.
Allin calls back to when he planted the AEW flag on the summit of Mt. Everest. He says AEW represents freedom for him. He vows to wrap that flag around Moxley’s throat.
Moxley monologues and then says this isn’t about him. PAC jumps Allin from behind and attacks him, causing him to bleed.
I… holy… wow

2. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Roderick Strong
Strong throws his t-shirt at Castagnoli. Smart move, I guess.
They start with grappling. They end up by the ropes and Castagnoli hits a massive European Uppercut. He always hits those so freaking fast.
Strong ends up outside the ring but the Swiss Cyborg pulls him back in. They both quickly end up back outside the ring and Castagnoli swings Strong into the barricade.
There are several four letter words we could associate to what just happened here… we’re just gonna go with pain for now…

Strong hits a Drop Kick on Castagnoli as we’re back from commercial. Castagnoli goes for a cover after a clothesline but then transitions right into a submission. Strong gets his foot to the bottom rope.
Castagnoli gets caught with his leg over the top rope and Strong kicks him through the ropes. He follows up with a Backbreaker onto the barricade. Castagnoli goes up to the second rope and goes for a Gut Wrench but Strong has his feet inside the ropes, preventing a big fall.
Strong comes back with a Backbreaker on the top turnbuckle.
Strong gets sent up in the air and hit with a European Uppercut.
Winner: Claudio Castagnoli via pinfall.
He earns his 100th AEW win, without the help of any of his Death Riders family.
Speaking of family, Don Callis earlier celebrated a birthday! Along for the party were Josh Alexander, Kazuchika Okada, Trent Beretta, Hechicero, Kyle Fletcher, and Lance Archer.
Callis says “numbers are power” as the family keeps ballooning. He promises to get his faction everything they need.
Fletcher says he has a special gift. It’s Takeshita on a video. He wishes Callis well and Okada abruptly turns off the tv, saying he pushed the wrong button.
3. Mark Davis, Josh Alexander, and Hechicero vs. vs. Jurassic Express and Kenny Omega
Kenny Omega comes out with the most beautiful and seamless pyro display I’ve ever seen.

Omega starts and wants Alexander, understandably so. Alexander tags in Hechicero. Hechicero goes for an Inverted Dragon Screw after focusing his offense on Omega’s left leg.
Omega tags in Luchasaurus, perhaps still not trusting Jack Perry 100% just yet.
Alexander goes after the left leg of Perry but he comes back with a kick to Alexander’s face. Omega is hesitant to take the tag but he does and goes after Alexander and Hechicero. Fireman’s Carry and Moonsault onto Alexander but the Walking Weapon has to kick out after vintage work from the Best Bout Machine.
German Suplex to Omega, maintaining his hold through two. Driving Knee but Alexander grabs the rope at two on the count.
Mark Davis and Luchasaurus collide. Luchasaurus gets the last laugh as the action breaks down a bit for a few seconds. Perry saves Omega from a Lariat from Davis. Talk about earning trust back.
Piledriver to Omega from Davis but he kicks out. Alexander gets picked up by Luchasaurus and dropped onto Hechicero. Omega tags in Perry and he hits a huge Doomsday on Hechicero.
Winners: Luchasaurus and Kenny Omega via pinfall.
The Jacksons quietly sneak in and deliver superkicks to Luchasuarus and Perry. Omega intervenes. Luchasaurus clotheslines the Bucks.
4. Jamie Hayter vs. Skye Blue (with Julia Hart)
Contrary to the sparks that have flown, the two start off with good old-fashioned wrestling and grappling instead of going right after each other.
Hayter uses her power advantage to take control. She goes for a number of punches to Blue’s head, followed by two Snap Suplexes. Blue regroups with Hart outside the ring and takes control.

— AEW On TV (@aewontv.bsky.social) October 15, 2025 at 9:29 PM
Not to be outdone, Hayter gets back to her power game, forcing BLue to the mat and giving both women a moment of respite. She drops Blue outside the ring, Lariats from Hayter. Hayterade to top it off.
Winner: Jamie Hayter via pinfall.
Thekla is backstage and on the video screen. She says Hayter was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She wants to be impressed but Hayter isn’t at all phased.
Renee Paquette is backstage with Mercedes Mone, who now has ten championships. She says she will defend her CMLL Women’s title against Persephone at Arena Mexico this Friday when Paquette asks her about WrestleDream.
“Hangman” Adam Page joins the commentary desk.
5. The Opps (c) vs. L.F.I for the AEW Trios Championship
Hobbs and The Beast Mortos start off. The two start off with shoulder tackles but neither give up any space. Mortos uses his mask to headbutt Hobbs but Powerhouse fights it off. Another shoulder tackle.
Shibata and Rush both get tagged and the two go after each other, exchanging slaps and chops. Shibata gets the upper hand but can’t capitalize as he’s also spent. Joe tags in and Mortos is not ready for the quick hands.
Dralistico goes after Shibata and the other two LFI members go after The Opps on the outside.
This can’t feel good for your back.

Dralistico gets isolated for a moment and, after all three of LFI try to go after Hobbs, he gets planted by Hobbs. Dralistico gets in the ring with just Joe. He succumbs to the Coquina Clutch.
Winners: The Opps retain via pinfall.
Rush spits at Page as LFI go for the post-match beatdown. Rush throws Page out of the ring but he sets up for the Buckshot Lariat. Sammy Guevara pulls Rush out.
Joe grabs the title and he and Page exchange some words. Joe roughly hands Page his title before leaving.
