The mid-week is finally here again! I still can’t decide if that’s a good or bad thing… There is a lot to get to tonight and the fallout from tonight’s matches will be felt at Full Gear.
If you’re a Toronto Blue Jays fan as I am, you’re likely also still recovering from game 3! Don’t worry. Fright Night won’t take six hours!
But it’s going to be a spooky night with title implications in two matches as well as the kick-off of the Women’s Tag Team Tournament.
Appropriately, the show starts with a shot of the top of the ramp and the pyro! Right into the first match we go!
1. “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin vs. Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta in a Tornado Tag Match
As the Death Riders enter, Allin lunges at Garcia and Cassidy goes right for Yuta. Quickly, though, the Death Riders take control and use their t-shirts to apply choke holds.
Allin uses a chair to neutralize Yuta.
Just… just wait for it

He sets him up outside the ring and hits a textbook tope suicida. The fight spills to the crowd as Yuta and Garcia team up on Cassidy. Seemingly out of nowhere, Allin gets up to higher ground and lands a Coffin Drop on both of them.
Back from commercial break, Garcia and Yuta catapult Allin into the turnbuckles. Cassidy reverses on Yuta but Garcia stops him from landing it!
Allin uses his skateboard but Garcia gets out of the pinfall attempt. Allin gets a Coffin Drop on Yuta after an assist from Cassidy. Allin gets a Scorpion Death Lock on Yuta. He taps.
Winners: “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin.
HOOK is backstage entering. He says he’ll have his hands full with three veterans. He calls out Samoa Joe, saying he won’t let Joe win and that he’s always known Joe was trouble.
Renee Paquette is backstage with Don Callis. He says they’ve never been stronger. The Young Bucks show up and Callis is not happy with the way they’ve been treated of late. He offers them to join the Family again. He tells a production guy to cue up the intro he set up for them. He announces them from the back. But they have a slight distraction.
Well… it is Fright Night…

2. Young Bucks vs. FTR vs. JetSpeed vs. Jurassic Express
Stoke joins the commentary desk but there’s no chair for him.
Dax Harwood starts against “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Jack Perry tags in for Harwood after he gets run over by Bailey. JetSpeed take down Luchasaurus with kicks to his thighs.
Much chaos, expected with eight men. Perry gets sent into the broadcast desk by FTR.
All men end up outside as Kevin Knight lands on top of the crowd, courtesy of a superplex from Harwood. He appears to hurt his knee upon impact.

Luchasaurus clears the Young Bucks and FTR as he drops all four men. Perry rolls over Luchasaurus’ back and hits a Destroyer on Matt Jackson. They’re unable to keep Nick Jackson down for three.
Knight hits a Pendulum DDT on Luchasaurus. His knee appears to be okay. The Young Bucks hit a Shatter machine on Cash Wheeler. EVP Trigger on Knight but he kicks out!
Moonsaults galore from the top rope onto the outside. FTR go after Kevin Knight and take advantage of the chaos.
Winners: FTR will take on Brodido at Full Gear for the Men’s World Tag Team Championships.
A replay from Collision shows “Hangman” Adam Page’s vow to Samoa Joe.
Don Callis Family Summit
The crowd chants “Hechicero” as the Family gets seated at tables in the ring. Noticeably missing from the Summit is Konosuke Takeshita due to “travel issues”, though there’s awkwardly a label on the table in his spot.
Rocky Romero asks who the DCF is. He says they are the largest and most dominant faction in pro wrestling. Romero unveils a painting that is unsurprising but hilarious. Josh Alexander asks what the DCF is all about, pointing to the screen. A video plays that shows Callis saying the Family is all about power.
Kyle Fletcher reads out the vow they all took when they joined the DCF. As he reads, Takeshita’s music hits and he comes out alone. Kazuchika Okada looks unbothered.
Takeshita comes to the ring and the Family cheers for him. He has his eyes locked on Okada. Callis says the Family is full of alphas and there’s bound to be some butting heads. He says the Family succeeds by listening to his wants. “I decide what happens here.”
Callis says Takeshita was the first to join the DCF and – if he decides – Takeshita will be the last out. He tells him to put his ego aside and shake hands with Okada. Takeshita looks around as the crowd urges him not to. Callis says it’s about Takeshita’s honor. He reaches out his hand and Okada goes for it as well, but opts to flip the bird at Takeshita. The rest of the gets between them.
Callis says they’ll tag on Collision. Takeshita looks incensed, rightfully so.
Renee Paquette is backstage with Kris Statlander. Statlander says she’ll be at Collision to support Mone during her match with Olympia.
3. Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O’Reilly
O’Reilly has a new entrance theme. Or, maybe it’s just been a while since I’ve heard this one.
O’Reilly tries to get Moxley on the ground as the bell rings. The two stay on their feet and hesitate a bit as they hand-fight. Moxley uses his hips to get out of an armbar.
Moxley gets the upper hand as he drops O’Reilly outside the ring.
Back from commercial break, Moxley slams O’Reilly’s head into the steel steps before the two end up back in the ring. O’Reilly sidesteps as Moxley goes for a spear in the corner. He goes after Moxley’s left leg. Moxley comes back with a piledriver and follows up with a Fujiwara armbar.
He shifts to a Crucifix and gouges the eyes. O’Reilly comes back with hand strikes and a stomp onto Moxley’s Achilles. Moxley’s forced to kick out. The two exchange knee shots. O’Reilly evades the last one. Moxley goes for a Crucifix but O’Reilly reverses into a cross armbar. O’Reilly goes for a kick but Moxley comes back with a lariat. He can’t capitalize.
O’Reilly comes right back with an ankle lock but Moxley’s able to get to the rope. O’Reilly cinches an armbar on the outside. Dragon Screw against the barricade drops Moxley into a chair. O’Reilly gets distracted by Marina Shafir momentarily before he’s able to lock in a guillotine. The bell rings for a count-out.
O’Reilly won’t let go of the hold and both he and Mox get counted out!

The match ends in a no-contest.
O’Reilly comes back into the ring but Marina Shafir hits Aubrey Edwards. Claudio Castagnoli attacks O’Reilly. Roderick Strong comes out to even things out. That is, until Garcia and Yuta come out. Mark Briscoe rushes out with Allin and Cassidy. The Death Riders retreat, not wanting a war with the guys in the ring.
Darby Allin asks the Death Riders where they’re headed. He asks them to come back and settle this right now. Briscoe says the Death Riders always talk big but don’t actually want the fight.
He says he’ll let Orange Cassidy tell the Death Riders what’s going to happen. Cassidy is hesitant but says “…uhhh, Blood and Guts.”
Backstage, Mercedes Mone is beating up Kris Statlander and brings her out to the entrance. Statlander picks her up and drops her onto the apron. Athena shows up and, before we can blink, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron show up!
4. “Sisters of Sin”Skye Blue and Julia Hart vs. Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata
Aminata starts against Hart. She goes for a cheap shot on Hayter. That’s a bold choice. She “took that personally”, to borrow a famous person’s words.
Aminata gives Blue the Chocolate Kisses before tagging in Hayter. Hart gets hit with a Double Suplex onto Skye Blue. Hart gets a quick tag, unbeknownst to Hayter. The Sisters of Sin take control as they drop Hayter on her face.
Back from commercial break, Hart has Hayter’s hand and walks the top rope for a few seconds before dropping onto her. Hayter comes back with a Double Suplex as Blue joins in.
Aminata tags in and goes to work on Blue. She gets a boot right through Blue’s face in the corner. Blue kicks out. Hayter hits a Missle Drop Kick. Blue gets down from both opponents, down for the count but Hart makes the save.
Hayter and Aminata hit suplexes and lariats on both opponents. Blue and Aminata exchange shots in the middle of the ring. Not sure Blue has a real advantage there.
Hayter gets sent to the outside and Thekla hits a Spear. Hart and Blue drop Aminata. Cover.
Winners: Sisters of Sin.

Tony Schiavone is backstage with Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford. Ford has a torn UCL and will be out indefinitely. Bayne has an open call that is answered immediately… by Marina Shafir! Jon Moxley shows up and says “These two? Look out!”
5. Samoa Joe vs. Ricochet vs. HOOK vs. Bobby Lashley in a Four-Way #1 Contender’s Match for the AEW Men’s World Championship
Lashley tells HOOK to move but he doesn’t. Interestingly enough, he goes towards Ricochet’s corner and he gets out quick.
Samoa Joe goes after Lashley and then he and HOOK tangle. Lashley brings Joe to the outside and crashes him into the steel steps. Ricochet backs up from HOOK but ends up in front of Lashley. Both of them drop Ricochet.
HOOK goes for the pin but Lashley pulls his legs out. Lashley tells HOOK to “Calm down!” before dropping him to the outside and then planting him onto the apron.Ricochet hits Lashley with a tope suicida. Both can’t recover in time as Samoa Joe has the same idea, wiping out both of them.
Back from commercial break, Joe and HOOK slug it out. Joe drops Lashley over the ropes. Ricochet wants some too and starts getting fed right hands. He goes for the shoulder tackle but Lashley tosses Ricochet aside and then hits a massive Spinebuster on Joe.
You knew this was coming.

HOOK takes down Joe and then gets planted by Ricochet. Ricochet then takes out Lashley and Joe outside. Shooting Star Press on HOOK. He kicks out! HOOK intercepts the Spirit Gun and hits Redrum. Joe hits a senton on HOOK.
Lashley hits a spear on Joe as he has HOOK on top of him. Ricochet takes him out. All four want this real bad.
With a chair, Ricochet hits Lashley behind referee Paul Turner’s back. Hook and Joe are in the ring. Coquina Clutch. Game.
Winner: Samoa Joe gets a(nother) shot at “Hangman” Adam Page at Full Gear.
Katsuyori Shibata and Will Hobbs come out to celebrate with Joe. Tony Schiavone joins them. He congratulates Joe and says the contracts will be signed tonight.
Six people in costumes come into the rings. Joe says he likes to be safe when signing a contract. Shibata and Hobbs clear them out. The one that should have been Page wasn’t and Joe signs the contract.
Joe demands a mic and says he’s going to be the new champion. Schiavone calls for a toast and The Opps grab a drink with Schiavone. But it’s not Schiavone! It’s “Hangman” Adam Page! he takes out The Opps and delivers a Buckshot Lariat to Samoa Joe.
