It’s Saturday night, and it’s all right for fighting. So, you know what that means?
No, we don’t have access to the Epstein files…yet.
It’s time for AEW Collision, and we are coming off a hot ALL IN pay-per-view, and All Elite Wrestling is setting up residence in the Windy City. Plus, the main event will have The Don Callis Family in action with JetSpeed, Mascara Dorado, and Bandido in eight-man tag team action.
As we come to you from the ByLine Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, IL, Nigel McGuinness and Colt Cabana have the call, along with Tony Schiavone. Right now, he is in the ring to introduce the new TNT Champion, “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes. Dustin “Three Belts” soaks in the “You deserve it!” chants, and then he speaks from the heart about how his dad told him long ago to Keep Stepping. That brings out Don Callis and Kyle Fletcher. The ProtoStar gets on the mic and says he’s touched, except it’s a load of crap. He thinks that this moment should be his, and Fletcher feels Rhodes signed his death certificate. He vows to take everything from him, including the title. Rhodes rebuts that all he does is complain and give excuses, and he worked three times in 24 hrs and he didn’t.
Callis tells his protege to step back as he gets on the stick. He sings his praises, but notes to Rhodes that of all his demons he slayed, he still has one left: the title. He offers him a place in the Don Callis Family, versus being a third wheel in his. Rhodes has had enough until Fletcher gets involved. The Natural throws the young upstart out of the ring, and now we have a good reason to take interest in the TNT title again.
We get a video package from The Conglomeration after the events of the ALL IN Zero Hour and this past Dynamite, and let it be said, there is unfinished business.
Fighting words and unfinished business from @SussexCoChicken, @willowwrestles, and Tomohiro Ishii of The Conglomeration!

But your First Match of the Night is between…

Ricochet vs. AR Fox
Schiavone lets the fans know that Fox has won more prize money matches in AEW and Ring of Honor combined. Strange how he doesn’t put that cash into his ring gear.
I keed, folks. I keed….(kinda).
Ricochet plays head games and gets Fox to chase him around the ballroom. It isn’t long before the high-flying takes center stage. Midway into the match, The Gates of Agony come down the ramp, but Fox is not stopping. A spinning suplex gets Fox a two count, and then he mounts up the top turnbuckle with punches. Ricochet returns the receipt, but Fox fires back. They go back and forth, and during Picture in Picture, Ricochet takes control and throws Fox around the barricades. Back in the ring, he stretches Fox out, but he fights back up to a vertical base. Ricochet sends him back down, but Fox fires back. He climbs to the high-rent district until Ricochet pulls him off the top, yet Fox catches him with elbows. At one point, Ricochet goes for a rope-assisted senton and misses, but Fox is on target. Then he skins the cat and stomps Ricochet in the corner, and follows with a swanton for another count of two. They jockey back and forth with pin attempts, and Ricochet reverses a backslide to a DVD but can’t put Fox away. He loads the Spirit Gun and misses as Fox channels the Matrix and connects with a leaping piledriver for a close two count. Now, Bishop Kaun distracts the ref as Ricochet cuts off Fox. He pushes off and goes for a somersault senton and misses, but Ricochet fires the Spirit Gun and he gets put down for good.
Your Winner via Pinfall: Ricochet
There are highlights from the main event at ALL IN between “Hangman” Adam Page and Jon Moxley, and as the commentators talk about the moment, all of a sudden Marina Shafir comes behind Cabana with a chain and proceeds to choke him. Now, The Death Riders gang up on the Chicago favorite to send a message.
Lexi Nair is backstage awaiting word on Cabana’s prognosis, and standing next to her is Kris Statlander. She asks about her opportunities slipping away, and focusing on Willow Nightingale. Stalander responds until The Riders walk past. She shields Nair, and that’s when Wheeler Yuta lets her know that champs bounce back.
Of all the “Meet-cutes” in the world, this…is just odd.
But lets head back to the ring as your next match is between…

Megan Bayne vs. Tay Melo
Schiavone reminds us that everyone on both sides are banned from being from ringside. So no Penelope Ford, and no Anna Jay. Fair is fair, right?
Yeah, and I got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya.
Bayne just overpowers and tackles Melo in the corner early in the match, and as she rushes to the corner and misses, Melo slugs back. She clotheslines Melo down, and the Megasus shows off her power game, and then attempts a spear as Melo catches her in an armbar. Bayne gets out of the hold, only to be trapped in a triangle submission. Bayne lifts Melo and powerbombs her with one arm. The Brazilian isn’t out of tricks as she sends Bayne crashing and punts her from the apron edge. She goes for a dive, but Bayne catches her and nails a fallaway slam on the floor. During Picture in Picture, Bayne throws her into the barricades and just makes mincemeat out of Melo, and then…
Ads (Gods, why are you behaving like Peacock, TNT?)
We come back, and Melo stages a comeback with a jawbreaker and connects with forearm shots, and then hits three pump kicks in the corner, but Bayne is unfazed. There’s a German suplex by Melo, and she goes for a knee, but gets caught and the Megasus launches her across the ring. Then she lifts her, and Melo cinches a guillotine choke, but Bayne breaks it with a falcon arrow for a two count. Melo counters the powerbomb, hits the knee to Bayne, and follows with a Brazilian Destroyer for a count of two. She goes for the Tay-K-O, and it is blocked. Bayne comes back with a flying lariat, and the running Liger Bomb finishes the job.
Your Winner via Pinfall: Megan Bayne
We get reminded that Bayne is 8-0 in singles competition, and I’m curious how that bodes for her title aspirations in the future.
Backstage, the members of SkyFlight (Sky Scorpio, Top Flight, and Christopher Daniels) talk about the challenges they are ready to face. That’s when Don Callis ingratiates himself and suggests they should join his Family. Daniels steps in and suggests his Family face them in a match next week.
With that out of the way, let’s go back to the ring for your next match between…

Taya Valkyrie (with Johnny TV and MxM) vs. Alex Windsor
Yeah, you can smell the Squash as well, right?
Then allow me to give a Squared Circle Clerihew™:
*ahem*
Windsor fights with fury
As Valkyrie cannot get any offense in a hurry.
She puts her away with a Sharpshooter submission,
And Valkyrie taps, with little omission.
Your Winner via Submission: Alex Windsor
As Windsor soaks in her first victory, up top the balcony of the ballroom is Athena. She tells her to get to the back as she greets the minions and says it’s Athena Elite Wrestling. She tries one-upping Storm’s balcony brazenness until The Timeless One comes out to set her straight that she is “the only balcony bitch.”
She dares her to sign the contract and come down, but Athena says no. The Fallen Goddess suggests that she beg, and reminds Storm she will face her protege, Billie Starkz, on AEW Dynamite next week. Well, the Timeless One is not for patience, as she rushes up to the balcony, and Athena runs off.
Guess who rules the roost, folks?
Nair is now backstage with Anthony Bowens. She brings up Billy Gunn, and the Pride of Pro Wrestling says he hasn’t talked to him. Enter Gunn, and he says he needs to stop focusing on Max Caster. They bicker, and Gunn offers him a match to put him back on track. A half-hearted scissor greeting seals it.
Curious what they’re gonna set up next week.
We go back to the ring for a…

$200K Tag Team Match: Gates Of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) vs. The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn, with Juice Robinson) vs. CRU (Lio Rush and Action Andretti) vs. Big Bill and Bryan Keith
I’m still getting used to Robinson without his beard. Since that’s the only takeaway I will have in this match, I think a Lucid Luchador Limerick in Review™ is in order:
*ahem*
Four teams look to strut their stuff,
And they do not take any guff.
Suddenly, the match breaks down
As the Gates take the CRU to town,
And they win decisively (so that’s enough).
Your Winners via Pinfall: The Gates of Agony
(Author’s note: Apparently, Austin Gunn was injured during the match, so it remains to be seen how bad the damage is. It would be a shame for The Gunns to come back only to have this setback.)
There’s a recap of the “Rated R Superstar” Cope telling Christian Cage to “Go Find Himself,” and that might be the story going into the end of the year.
“Go Find yourself.” @RatedRCope leaves @Christian4Peeps with a message to think about, after @thenickwayne, @TheKipSabian, and @MotherAEW leave Christian Cage laid out at #AEWAllInTexas!

Now, Max Caster is in the ring and still says he’s the Best Wrestler Alive. He speaks to the Max-I-Maniacs and leads them in another chant. Chicago gets into it, butCaster stateshe would rather see Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky than hear them. So, who will survive the Best Wrestler Alive?
Well, it’s…
Max Caster vs. Kyle O’Reilly (with Roderick Strong)
Yeah, I can smell the squash emanating from the ring, so let’s go to a Haiku in Review™:
*ahem*
Max gives O’Reilly
A run for his money, but
Still…another loss.
Your Winner via Submission: Kyle O’Reilly
Backstage, Ishii and Hologram watch the match.
Hmm…wonder what might happen with those stars in the upcoming weeks?
Juice Robinson is backstage and tells Ricochet they cost him the money in the match. Big Bill says they cost him, too. They brawl until the refs break up the fight, and I’m curious where this is gonna head.
Now for some lucha goodness with a little puroresue between…

Rush (with Mortos and Dralistico) vs. Katsuyori Shibata
They have a stare down, and then they throw the bombs. There are hard chops by both men, and Rush lands a spinning elbow on The Wrestler. Outside the ring, he throws Shibata around the barricades, and now Rush feels tranquilo in the squared circle until Shibata boots him to the outside. He returns the receipt and sits in the middle of the ring, and during Picture in Picture, he stomps away and then gets Rush in a Figure Four (woo) until…
Ads (I’d say I was annoyed, but then I remember Peacock exists to frustrate me on Saturday Night’s Main Event)
We come back where Rush and Shibata exchange chops in the corner. The LFI member sets up for the Bull’s Horns, and Shibata cuts him off and then connects with a running basement dropkick. He follows with a floatover suplex for a two count. They exchange suplexes, but Shibata wins the battle to only get another count of two. Now they exchange German suplexes until Rush lands with a headbutt, until Shibata chops him and cinches a sleeper.
Dralistico and Morton interfere, and Rush rolls up Shibata but can’t get the pin. He counters with an STO and goes for a PK, but Rush stops him with a forearm shiver. Once he’s in the corner, the Bull’s Horns delivers on the jaw of The Wrestler for the pin and the win.
Your Winner via Pinfall: Rush
After the match, they stomp him down and grab the AEW Trios belt to signal they are coming for it, until Hobbs comes out with a chair to make LFI scatter.
Faster than you can say, “Teddy Long” (holla if ya hear me, playa), your Main Event is an Eight-man tag team match between…
The Don Callis Family (Lance Archer, Josh Alexander, Rocky Romero, and Hechicero) vs. Bandido, Mascara Dorada, and JetSpeed (Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight)
Yeah, I think another Lucid Luchador Limerick in Review™ is in order, so here we go:
*ahem*
Lucha goodness rules the main event
As The Don Callis Family gives them discontent.
The ‘faces stage a comeback
And the Family gets a lot of flak
Until Dorado delivers a somersault splash, leaving them spent.
