Editor’s Note: Special guest correspondent Rob Thill has been involved in local wrestling scenes in Sacramento, CA, Oregon, and Salt Lake City, UT. We at Slam! Wrestling asked if he could cover this show, and he turned in this report.
By Rob Thill, for Slam! Wrestling
Welcome to Collision from the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, FL. We get the regular hype promos from the participants in tonight’s card, finished by Orange Cassidy being confronted by the returning Bastard, Pac. He says they go way back and challenges him to a match next week if he has the tangerines.
Trios’ action starts us off as:

Jay Lethal/”Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington/Adam Priest vs. The Death Riders (Jon
Moxley/Claudio Castagnoli/Daniel Garcia w/Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir
Daddy Magic once again joins the commentary booth. The Riders take the kids outside, and Lethal and Garcia get to it right away. Moxley gets Dynamite in, and they all work him and Priest
over. Priest attempts a dive to the outside but is caught by the Swiss Superman and tossed as we go to break. Moxley continues to exhibit rabid behavior by biting the nose of Priest with a
sick grin. Jay has had enough and runs in and chops Moxley and gestures that Jon is #1. Dynamite Kid gets the hot tag and does the Dynamite Special. Namesake suplex into a diving
headbutt for a 2. Lethal attempts Lethal Injection, but is cut off by Moxley. Garcia locks in the Lion Tamer, while Moxley hits a curbstop on Lethal for the unconscious submission.
Your Winners: The Death Riders
Daddy Magic once again tries to confront Danny. Garcia finally grabs a mic and says, “Don’t you get the hint?” He said he was his brother, but when he was with him, he was a loser just like him.
But now he is with winners, and that will make him a winner too. You can feel the emotion here.
Garcia is going to have to make Matt bleed to get his point across.
Backstage, we have Nick Wayne on the doctor’s table, and he said he feels great. The doctor says he is nowhere near ready and will need another 6 to 8 weeks. Nick gets up and says he is
getting another doctor.
Back to the ring as:

Jamie Hayter vs. Anna Jay
Solid outing for Anna tonight. Hit her highlights early to establish herself with the fans. Anna hits a basement dropkick for a 2. Hayter explodes back with a fury and hits a backdrop suplex for 2.
Anna counters a fireman’s carry into a super clean DDT, followed by a not-so-clean blockbuster for the near fall. Anna goes for the great escape but is countered by the Hayterade. 1.2.3. Done.
Your Winner: Jamie Hayter
We get a backstage promo between Max Caster and Big Bill with Bryan Keith. Bowens comes in carrying multiple plaques, and they argue. Next week, it will be a tag team match between The
Learning Tree (Not their name) against The Acclaimed (Also, not their name).
We get a hype promo for Sarree vs. Alex Windsor on ROH next week. Just another great addition to an already stacked women’s roster.
Tag action up next as:
LFI (Sammy Guevara/Rush) vs. Shane Stetson/Cha Cha Charlie
Tony shows his disgust for Stetson naming himself Hot Stuff, which I understand. Only one HotStuff kid.
This is a one-sided affair. Rush gives the Bulls Horns to Charlie in the corner, and before the ref starts the count, Rush tags in Sammy, and he adds the punctuation with a swanton to pick up the win.
Your Winners: Rush and Sammy Guevara
No time to celebrate as the next match is:

Eddie Kingston vs. Dralistico
Ok. I normally would call the action, but something is bothering me.
Rant incoming.
I am a HUGE Eddie Kingston fan. I was so excited to hear he was on his way back. With all the injuries and the fan following he had accrued before he left, this is a huge opportunity for The Mad King to possibly sit atop the throne. But, here’s the thing. He looks like shit. He actually looks in worse shape than when he left. He looks lost, winded, and not into it. I’ve always defended him
before the same way we had to defend Foley. But this just looks bad for him. The crowd wants to believe in him. But he looks tired, and the fire is out. I pray that he proves me wrong soon.
Rant over.
Love hearing Sammy back on my TV again. Dralistico misses a kick. Eddie hits the spinning back fist for the pin.
Your Winner: Eddie Kingston
Meh.
We get a recap of Dynamite and the returning Andrade El Idolo. Don’t care how many times the man switches teams, Andrade could put on a banger with literally anyone, so this is a huge
pickup. Again.
MxMTV is up next! I popped huge! I always pop for Johnny, though. They are here to issue their first-ever MxM Casting call and challenge anyone to a trios match, and it is answered by:
MxMTV vs. TNT Champion “Protostar” Kyle Fletcher/”The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita/”The
Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander
What an excellent chickenshit heel team. All three men are comically beaten but find time to strike a pose. Monsoor eats a wheelbarrow suplex from Takeshita, a package piledriver from
The Walking Weapon into a Protostar shear drop brainbuster for the merciful victory.
Your Winners: The Don Callis Family
Dalton Castle and the Outrunners are in the back. Dalton asks how we can outperform what they did last week. He says the pressure is coming down on him. The Outrunners pick him up
And Castle says he appears to be in good hands as they exit.
Jamie Hayter is in the back with Queen Aminata, and they are immediately attacked by the Triangle of Madness.
Back to the ring as:

“The Jet” Kevin Knight w/Mike Bailey and Willow Nightengale vs. Dax Harwood w/ Cash
Wheeler and Big Stoke
FTR teases which one of them it will be as Dax attacks. Knight is ridiculously gifted. He is going to be special.
Dax the Ax lays the chops in, and The Jet is happy to reciprocate. Dax goes for a piledriver on the apron, but Knight counters with a back body drop. They tumble into the crowd
as we go to break. We come back to Knight hitting a rolling DDT for a near fall. They fight on top, Jet goes for a reverse frog splash, but is countered into a roll up for a 2. We get square off
headbutts reminiscent of Dragon and McGuinness back at ROH Driven ’09 (If you haven’t watched it, go find it).
A series of close calls culminated in a slingshot powerbomb to Knight. Knight with a Brunzell level dropkick. Cash tries to distract, but Willow pulls him off, and Speedball hits him with an Asai
moonsault. Knight climbs to the top, but Stokely tries to stand over Dax. The Jet flies over the top of him, hitting the reverse Frog Splash for the 1,2,3.
Your Winner: “The Jet” Kevin Knight
Stoke faces off with Willow and pushes his finger into her chest until she grabs hold of him. Before she can give him what he rightly deserves, “The Megasus” Megan Bayne attacks her from behind. She stands over Willow with Stokely, raising her hand.
We get a SkyFlight promo challenging Shane Taylor Promotions for the ROH 6 Man Tag Team Championships.
Stat Daddy is out next and grabs a mic. She says she isn’t finished with Toni Storm either. Toni comes out, and Stat tells her they need to talk. They lay down head to head on the mat.
Just watch it. It’s money. The whole damn segment.
We get a promo package for the upcoming World Title Match at Wrestledream between “Hangman” Adam Page and Samoa Joe. Joe is on my Mount Rushmore for reasons just like this.
Minimal build. Doesn’t matter. He’s Joe. Joe wants gold. That’s all you need to take my money.
Every promo he weaves makes you want to see it. Instant heat and believability.
Main Event Trios is next as:

“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy/The Paragon vs. Don Callis Family (Rocky Romero/Lance
Archer/Hechicero)
O’Reilly and Hechicero give a technical masterclass to get things going. Rocky and Roddy pick up the pace until Archer cleans house. Orange gets the meh tag and hits the pocket dropkick on
Archer to no avail. One takeaway from this match, I can say, is that I need a match between Kyle and Hechicero soon. Kyle hits Rocky with a tornado DDT, followed by a suplex into a Fujiwara
armbar submission for the victory.
Your Winners: “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy and the Paragon
Overall solid show tonight. Got some stories forwarded and gave ROH some time to shine. No complaints. Except Eddie, but that’s just me. What did you think of tonight’s show? Thank you
so much for reading! See you next week!
