Xavier Woods has been off WWE television for several weeks, but the New Day member is offering a positive outlook on his recovery.
Xavier Woods has been sidelined since January with a shoulder injury. Speaking with Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone at WWE 2K26 Creator Fest, Woods admitted the issue is still limiting him physically, but remains hopeful that his time away from the ring will be short-lived.
“I feel ok. Lifting things with my shoulder doesn’t feel ok,” Woods said. “I kind of put it through like a meat grinder, so we’ll see how it is. Hopefully, it’s a few weeks of physical therapy, and then we’ll be back at it. But if not, I will let everybody know. But yeah, it’s alright. We’re just staying positive.”
When Did Xavier Woods Last Wrestle In WWE?
Xavier Woods last competed on the January 26 episode of Raw in a four-way tag team match alongside Kofi Kingston, which was won by Alpha Academy. He also appeared during Royal Rumble weekend on January 31, teaming with Kingston and Grayson Waller in a dark match loss to Shinsuke Nakamura and the Motor City Machine Guns.
On February 16, Kingston and Waller revealed on Raw that Woods had been dealing with shoulder issues for several months and would be stepping away to focus on recovery. Despite being sidelined, Woods made a brief appearance on this week’s Raw, voicing frustration that the spotlight was on AJ Styles rather than himself.
For now, Woods is concentrating on rehabilitation, with hopes that a few weeks of physical therapy will have him cleared to return to action.
