WWE’s Stranger Things-themed edition of Raw on Monday received a mixed response from fans, with some feeling the crossover element was lighter than expected.
The show marked the one-year anniversary of Raw streaming live on Netflix and featured branding and presentation inspired by the hit series. However, reports suggest the company had attempted to make the tie-in more substantial.
According to Fightful Select, WWE made efforts to secure appearances from members of the Stranger Things cast for the broadcast, but those plans did not come together ahead of airtime. One name discussed was Sadie Sink, who portrayed the character Max Mayfield in Stranger Things, who was in New York on Monday filming The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, though no cameo materialised.
Despite the missing crossover element, Raw continued storylines across several divisions and included multiple title matches.
What Is Happening On Tonight’s Episode Of WWE Raw?
Tonight’s episode of WWE Raw is set to take place from the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany, and there are currently only two matches confirmed for the card, plus three segments.
The matches will see Dragon Lee and Penta vs. The Vision (Austin Theory and Bronson Reed), and AJ Styles vs. Gunther.
