The Vision’s betrayal forces Pearce’s hand
Seth Rollins has been stripped of the WWE World Championship.
GM Adam Pearce made the announcement on Raw addressing the WWE Universe and The Vision (Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed). The trio betrayed Seth Rollins last week laying him out at the end of Raw. Bron was carrying the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
“We knew Seth was banged up coming out of that match at Crown Jewel. The classic against Cody Rhodes but none of us will know how badly he was injured because of what you two did,” said Pearce mentioning that Rollins had has “major surgery” and will “be on the self for some time”.
Pearce revealed that a new champion would be decided at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Salt Lake City, Utah, on November 1st.
“As of right now, because of you two, I hereby strip Seth Rollins of the World Championship,” said Pearce.
Pearce explained that CM Punk has won the right to fight for the championship but to determine his opponent at SNME there will be an over-the-top-rope battle royal on Raw tonight.
Pearce demanded that Bron hand over the championship title as it “sure as hell” didn’t belong to him.
“..and what if I don’t?” asked Bron.
Heyman pulled Bron aside and conferred with him.
Bron came back to the center of the ring demanding respect.
“Respectfully, I am going to ask you to hand over the championship right now,” repeated Pearce.
Bron asked him to say “please”.
Bron handed it to Heyman who then handed it to Pearce.
Pearce left the ring with it.
