WWE has announced a date to crown a new women’s champion following a recent departure from the company.
It has been announced that the WWE Women’s ID Championship will be on the line on November 17 at Beyond Wrestling’s Wrestling Open RI at the Rhodes On The Pawtuxet complex in Cranston, Rhode Island.
This comes after it was confirmed that former champion Kylie Rae would not have her contract renewed after she announced her pregnancy on September 21. Rae vacated the Women’s ID Title on September 22, and the announcement of her contract not being renewed was made on October 9.
Rae was the inaugural Women’s ID Champion, having captured the title at Game Changer Wrestling’s ID Showcase on August 1 by defeating Zara Zakher and Zayda Steel in a Triple Threat match.
Who Could Win The WWE Women’s ID Title Next?
The post made by WWE ID’s Twitter account stated that whoever wins the title at the event on November 17 will be “ID’d”, meaning that anyone could win the title and earn a contract with the company. However, there are currently two female stars signed to the ID program, Zayda Steel and Zara Zakher, so it would stand to reason that WWE could put the title on one of their already signed talents.
