A WWE star is set for another spell on the sidelines after confirming a second surgery following complications in recovery.
Santos Escobar revealed on social media that an issue involving the ulnar nerve has escalated, turning what was initially described as a “minor hiccup” into a required operation. The setback means his previously projected return timeline is now uncertain.
Escobar noted that the additional procedure has effectively put his comeback plans on hold. He had originally been expected to return by late summer, but that timeframe is now unclear. Escobar also admitted frustration at being unable to take part in WrestleMania week, calling it a difficult moment to be sidelined given the significance of the period.
Santos Escobar Picked Up An Injury Outside Of A WWE Event
The injury stems from Santos Escobar’s appearance at AAA Rey de Reyes, where he competed in a four-way tournament final against WWE’s El Grande Americano and OG El Grande Americano, as well as AAA’s La Parka.
Footage from the event showed him clutching his arm after the match, with the issue later confirmed to require time away from in-ring competition.
