A WWE star is officially out of action for an indefinite period after suffering an attack on Raw.
WWE has announced that Otis has been ruled out indefinitely following a brutal attack by Austin Theory on the July 27 edition of Raw. The attack came after Theory and Bron Breakker, representing The Vision, defeated Alpha Academy’s Akira Tozawa and Otis in tag team action. Following the match, Theory and Breakker continued assaulting Tozawa until Otis made the save and briefly cleared the ring.
However, Maxxine Dupri distracted Otis from the apron, allowing Theory and Breakker to regain control. The pair then delivered a double powerbomb before Theory escalated the assault by driving a steel chair into Otis’ head against the ring post.
WWE Later Confirmed That Otis Will Be Out Of Action After The Attack
Later in the broadcast, Byron Saxton revealed that Otis had been ruled out indefinitely as a result of the attack.
The storyline injury is another blow for Alpha Academy ahead of SummerSlam, leaving Tozawa without his longtime tag team partner. The attack also further established The Vision as one of Raw’s most dangerous factions while continuing Maxxine Dupri’s rivalry with her former stablemates.
