Aside from Cody Rhodes demanding to put his hands on Pat McAfee and was denied by the higher ups of the company, Rhea Ripley has shown some anger as well after the assault Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin did to Iyo Sky this past Monday. So now, Ripley wanted Cargill to come on out, instead, Iyo made an entrance to inform Rhea that she’ll be fighting Jade. Nick Aldis officiated it.
During the first matches of the night, Bayley decided to renew her rivalry with Alexa Bliss, while Lyra Valkyria and Charlotte Flair look on respectfully. A flying elbow by Bayley almost, very closely took out Bliss if she hadn’t lifted her shoulder in time. Some pent-up tension between Flair and Bayley started to boil over but nothing too significant took place, yet that nonsense allowed Alexa to roll Bayley up for a victory.
Hmm… I love seeing that Drew McIntyre placed his energy somewhere else, even if it’s to beat Jacob Fatu within an inch of his life at WrestleMania NEXT WEEKEND! Yay! Sometimes I wonder if there’s something wrong with me for liking violence so much… but only the type that makes sense. Whether it’s for sport, self-defense, or towards someone who definitely had it coming. At the end of the day, I’m always here for it. I can tell that Fatu vs. McIntyre will be one of the best matches we’re going to get.
Royce Keys vs. Humberto
I’m not sure where I’ve seen Royce Keys, if ever, because he looks familiar, but I don’t recognize his name. He could have had a different nom de plume. Anyway, this is his debut fight against Humberto, who suffered at the end of a clothesline and powerslam after he foolishly chose to mock his opponent. At a given point, Berto rolled out of the ring to catch his breath, but he also got some help from Angel to distract Keys long enough, so he could shove him into a post.
Berto followed that up with a drop kick from the top. That barely got a two count. That may as well have not registered since Keys bounced right back by catching Berto in mid-air and threw him into a fall away slam, plus a running powerslam. Out the corner of his eye, Keys saw Angel charging at him and put him down with a punch. A spinebuster finished Berto from doing anything else.
Winner: Royce Keys
As the evening continued, Jelly Roll bumped into Pat McAfee. Although Jelly was ready to check McAfee right there, close to the parking lot, Pat warned him not to. Despite of Randy Orton’s momentary absence. He and Orton made it their mission to “save the business”. Not just from Rhodes, but from CM Punk, too. Pat’s slightly misguided way of helping was by making Saturday Night One of WrestleMania tickets 25% off because Orton will be there. He doesn’t recommand Sunday, though. Ha! By the time he called Cody a “puppet,” that’s when his music finally hit to verbally tear into McAfee.
For multiple moments, Cody thought he had the upper hand, but the second that Randy made his presense known by showing a beathdown Jelly Roll and dragging him to the stage, Rhodes probably, emphasis on the word “probably”, realized that he got caught.
I’m not saying that the match between Fatu and Tama wasn’t important, but the follow up to the fight was the most intriguing part of the show. After Jacob won, he was talking to the fans for barely a minute before Drew materialized from nowhere and jumped him. Fatu did his best to defend himself, but McIntyre came prepared with handcuffs stretched over a chain. The chain broke at some point, but that doesn’t matter. Drew continued to hail his frustration on the man in question, suffering from numerous lacerations from a belt.
Trick Williams and Lil Yatchy were looking to humiliate Sami Zayn with, and it’s not to be rude, very well constructed rhyming insults. “Breath funky, like a donkey,” No one can convince me they didn’t laugh. Yatchy strutted me out wearing a t-shirt with a gingerbread design on it. How quickly did he get that? Williams came here not only to attempt to drag Zayn, but he also had a match with Matt Cardona, who still confuses me to hell. What was happening in-ring wasn’t important since Lil Yatchy was floored by a Helluva Kick after he tripped Zayn off the apron. Cardona has been on a losing strike lately.
Girl, I have nothing to say when it comes to the match with Danhausen and Kit Wilson. I’m so tired of seeing utter lunacy take space, so I’ll let you guys hash it out if need be. Anyway, backstage Rhea Ripley was taking out Michin and B-Fab prior to Iyo’s match with Jade. It was hard to say who was going to win, with time, Cargill took the triumph to prove her point that she can mangle you, too, and this time, it’s not for show.
During an exclusive with the Wyatt Sicks, they came to the conclusion that the stolen lantern needs to be purified before a Street Fight match they want to have against the MFTs.
