The lineup for tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown has been revealed.
Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown was taped at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, following Monday’s episode of Raw. Four matches are scheduled for the show, including a WWE Championship defence by CM Punk. Tonight’s show will air on the USA Network in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
Punk will put the WWE Championship on the line against Johnny Gargano. The match comes after Punk encountered Gargano backstage while speaking with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and offered the former NXT Champion an opportunity at his title.
Elsewhere, WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green is set to appear after receiving clearance to continue competing while wearing a protective mask.
Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton will also meet in singles competition, with both women remaining involved in the WWE Women’s Championship picture.
WWE SmackDown Lineup Confirmed For Tonight
Charlotte Flair will team with Tatum Paxley to face WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence in a non-title match.
Bakusai will also be in tag team action. Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki are scheduled to face The Miz and Kit Wilson.
Several other ongoing rivalries will continue during the show. Gunther, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor are all set to be involved in a segment, while Nikki Bella and Paige will come face-to-face ahead of their planned match in Mexico.
Blake Monroe and Giulia are also scheduled to appear as tensions between the pair continue.
