An update has been provided on where the 2027 WWE Royal Rumble will be held.
The WWE Royal Rumble is expected to return to the United States in 2027 after this year’s event was held overseas. WWE staged the January 31 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the first time the event took place there as part of the company’s ongoing agreement with the country.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the expectation backstage at the show was that the Royal Rumble would head back to a domestic stadium in the United States for the 2027 edition. The report noted that “the general chatter backstage” pointed to a return to a US venue.
Will The 2027 WWE Royal Rumble Be Held Over Two Nights?
As of now, the belief is that the 2027 Royal Rumble will remain a one-night event. There has been discussion in recent years about expanding the show to two nights, similar to WrestleMania and SummerSlam, but WWE is currently expected to keep the traditional single-night format.
WWE’s 2026 premium live event calendar features several major shows across the globe. Following the Royal Rumble in Riyadh, the company heads to Elimination Chamber on February 28 in Chicago.
WrestleMania 42 is scheduled for April 18 and 19 in Las Vegas, with SummerSlam set for August 1 and 2 in Minneapolis. Money in the Bank is also confirmed for September.
