WWE Raw focused heavily on building momentum toward Backlash, with multiple matches, storyline developments and a chaotic closing segment involving Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu.
The show opened with a violent attack as Bron Breakker ambushed Seth Rollins backstage before press-slamming him onto the barricade. Breakker later speared Rollins in the ring despite multiple attempts by officials to stop him. Rollins later said he would be ready for Backlash.
In the first match of the night, JD McDonagh defeated Finn Balor following interference from Judgment Day. After distractions from Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio, Roxanne Perez struck Balor with a hammer, allowing McDonagh to pick up the win.
Tag team action saw Rusev and Ethan Page defeat Penta and Je’Von Evans. After a competitive bout, Page capitalised on interference from Rusev, finishing Penta following a ringside attack.
A major moment followed as Sol Ruca officially signed her Raw contract. The segment was interrupted by Becky Lynch, leading to a confrontation. Ruca ultimately stood tall, taking Lynch down with the Sol Snatcher after Lynch accidentally struck Adam Pearce.
Joe Hendry defeated Austin Theory via disqualification after Logan Paul interfered. The post-match saw chaos break out as the Street Profits ran in, only for Breakker to attack again before Rollins briefly fought back. Breakker ended the sequence by spearing Rollins for a second time.
In an open challenge, Oba Femi defeated Otis after Akira Tozawa initially stepped up before backing down. Femi showcased his strength, finishing Otis with a modified Fall From Grace powerbomb.
Elsewhere, a six-man tag saw Chad Gable and the Creed Brothers, competing under masked Americano personas, pick up a win in a chaotic match that ended with Gable landing a diving headbutt.
A pre-taped segment between Iyo Sky and Asuka added further tension to their rivalry, ending with Asuka spraying mist into Sky’s face.
The show closed with the contract signing between Reigns and Fatu. Reigns spoke about respect and family legacy, while Fatu responded by declaring he would take everything, even if it meant going through his own blood. After both men signed, the segment turned physical, with Fatu eventually overpowering Reigns and slamming him through the announce table.
Fatu stood tall to end the show, sending a clear message ahead of Backlash.
