WWE Raw touched down in Düsseldorf with championship agendas, personal vendettas, and a full roster jockeying for position heading into Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber season.
The show opened with the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley, celebrating their victory over The Kabuki Warriors. Ripley dubbed the night “Monday Night Rhiyo” and made it clear she and Sky saw themselves as the standard-bearers of the division. Sky went further, insisting the former champions lacked respect and declaring no one was ready to stop their reign.
The message sparked immediate responses. Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez stepped up first, with Morgan reminding Ripley she never lost the titles. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria interrupted to stake their own claim, only for The Kabuki Warriors to storm the ring and ignite a multi-team brawl. Ripley and Sky eventually cleared the chaos to stand tall with the titles.
Later in the night, the three sides clashed in a Triple Threat No. 1 Contenders’ Match. The frantic bout featured heavy offence from every team, including Kairi Sane’s crowd-pleasing In-Sane Elbow and Asuka’s barrage of German suplexes. The finish came when Liv Morgan struck Sane with Oblivion to secure the pin, earning Morgan and Perez a championship rematch.
Je’Von Evans continued his rise with a singles win over Bravo Americano. Despite interference from Los Americanos, Evans fought through the numbers disadvantage, hitting a Spanish Fly and OG Cutter for the victory.
A post-match assault from the group ended with Evans acrobatically escaping through the crowd, setting the stage for a longer feud.
CM Punk addressed the crowd, declaring he plans to hold the World Heavyweight Championship “forever” as the Road to WrestleMania begins. Finn Balor cut him off, reminding Punk that the champion named him as a potential challenger.
Balor refused to wait for a pay-per-view and issued a challenge for next week’s Raw in Northern Ireland. Punk accepted, apologising to the Düsseldorf fans for delaying the fight and promising to bury Balor in Belfast.
Michael Cole introduced Raquel Rodriguez, who justified her brutal attack on WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer the previous week. Rodriguez said she had waited politely long enough and demanded her opportunity.
Vaquer appeared in a walking boot and vowed to fight despite her injury, but Rodriguez blindsided her once again. A vicious assault targeted Vaquer’s ankle, ending with Rodriguez smashing the boot with the title belt and standing over the champion.
Dragon Lee and Penta controlled much of their tag match against Austin Theory and Bronson Reed until Bron Breakker hit the ring. Breakker speared Lee and then Penta to force a disqualification before turning his attention to officials and even Adam Pearce. Pearce later suspended Breakker indefinitely backstage as Paul Heyman tried to deflect blame.
In the main event, AJ Styles battled Gunther in a heavy-hitting contest that saw Styles repeatedly target Gunther’s leg and nearly force a submission. Gunther survived a 450 Splash and tapped out to the Calf Crusher, but the referee missed it. The Ring General capitalised moments later, landing a low blow behind the official’s back before finishing with a powerbomb.
Gunther closed the night, declaring himself the greatest WWE has to offer, as the Road to the Royal Rumble intensified.
