The fallout from the Royal Rumble took centre stage on WWE Raw, as both Rumble winners appeared and the road to WrestleMania 42 began to take shape.
The show opened in chaos when Bron Breakker stormed to ringside and flipped over the announce desk, furious about his early elimination from the Men’s Royal Rumble. Surrounded by Logan Paul, Austin Theory, Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman, Breakker accused management of setting him up. Adam Pearce denied any wrongdoing, but the segment exploded when LA Knight rushed in and attacked Theory and Paul with a chair before being chased off by Reed.
In the opening match, Je’Von Evans faced El Grande Americano, who was accompanied by the masked Los Americanos. Interference from the group nearly cost Evans the bout, but the appearance of the original El Grande Americano distracted the impostor long enough for Evans to land the OG Cutter and score the pinfall.
Later, Gunther entered using AJ Styles’ music and declared that he ends careers. Dragon Lee interrupted and attacked Gunther around the ringside, but the former world champion regained control by smashing Lee with the ring bell and choking him out with a sleeper hold until officials intervened.
Backstage, Pearce confirmed that LA Knight had been ejected from the building and ordered Heyman to escort Breakker out as well. Moments later, The War Raiders were ambushed by Oba Femi, who levelled both men with power moves without a match taking place.
The Bella Twins then reunited in the ring for the first time in seven years. Nikki Bella and Brie Bella announced they were targeting the Women’s Tag Team Championship, saying they wanted to prove themselves in the current division.
In singles action, Reed battled Penta. Outside interference from Theory and Paul led to chaos and a referee bump. Reed appeared poised to win after hitting the Tsunami, but LA Knight returned and struck Reed with the BFT on a chair. Reed failed to beat the referee’s ten-count.
Dominik Mysterio made his return from injury and introduced Liv Morgan, who celebrated her Women’s Royal Rumble victory. Morgan said she would visit SmackDown to decide which champion to challenge at WrestleMania. Raquel Rodriguez confronted her and demanded that Morgan stay out of her title match later in the night.
That match saw Stephanie Vaquer defend the Women’s World Championship against Rodriguez in a Philadelphia Street Fight. Weapons were introduced early, with Vaquer powerbombed through a table and her injured ankle targeted with a chain. Vaquer rallied with kendo stick shots and a Devil’s Kiss before surviving interference from Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez. Vaquer finished Rodriguez with a Frankensteiner through a table and a Corkscrew Splash.
In the main event segment, Roman Reigns addressed his Royal Rumble victory and asked the Philadelphia crowd to help him choose his WrestleMania opponent. Chants for CM Punk brought the World Heavyweight Champion to the ring. The two exchanged heated words, with Punk accusing Reigns of manipulating his family and Reigns claiming Punk only returned because of him. Reigns ended the confrontation by officially declaring he would challenge Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.
Raw closed with WrestleMania’s main event direction set, as Reigns and Punk stared down to end the show.
