A match on last night’s episode of WWE Raw was stopped prematurely due to a Superstar picking up an injury during the bout.
Je’Von Evans suffered an apparent injury during Monday night’s episode of WWE Raw, forcing his match to end early via referee stoppage. The 21-year-old was competing against El Grande Americano in a singles bout on Raw from Belfast, Northern Ireland, when officials ruled Evans unable to continue. Americano was declared the winner after it was announced that Evans had not been medically cleared to resume the match. At the time of writing, WWE has not confirmed the nature or severity of the injury.
The stoppage came shortly after Evans had been checked on by medical staff during the commercial break. Evans appeared to be favouring his shoulder and upper chest area as he exited the ring and was later seen holding the area while heading backstage. While the exact moment of injury was not immediately clear, Evans had landed a springboard clothesline just before the break, which may have been the cause. The injury did not appear to occur during the commercial, suggesting it happened either on that landing or an earlier exchange.
Evans has quickly emerged as one of WWE’s brightest young prospects since being called up from NXT to Raw on the first episode of 2026. In recent weeks, he has been a regular presence on WWE’s European tour, working singles matches against Bron Breakker as well as tag team bouts pairing Evans with CM Punk against members of The Vision.
The European tour is scheduled to wrap up in Brussels on Tuesday, though Evans’ status for the remainder of the tour and upcoming Raw episodes remains uncertain. WWE has yet to provide an official update on his condition.
