What should have been a routine night watching WWE Raw instead left some fans dealing with unexpected issues, as technical problems disrupted the show’s Netflix broadcast.
During the March 23 episode of WWE Raw, viewers across multiple platforms reported difficulties with the live stream, including the apparent removal of rewind and restart functions. The issue quickly gained traction on social media, with complaints spreading as more users encountered the problem.
A message suggesting Netflix had removed key playback features for the live Raw stream began circulating online, fuelling frustration among viewers attempting to follow the show.
“Now WWE and Netflix have removed the ability to start RAW from the beginning while it’s live,” wrote Joe Negron of the Smart Fan Wrestling Podcast. “There’s no progress bar, no option to start over, all options gone. On the computer, iPhone, and iPad so far. If nobody has answers, it’s CANCELLIN’ TIME!”
Bryan Alvarez also noted experiencing issues, as additional users shared similar problems across social media platforms.
Concerns That WWE Raw Issues On Netflix Were Permanent Quickly Confirmed To Be A Temporary Glitch
Despite initial concerns that the WWE Raw change could be permanent, reports later indicated the situation was the result of a technical glitch rather than a deliberate update. Alvarez stated that Netflix was aware of the issue and was actively working on a fix.
“I am told there is a glitch on Netflix that they’re aware of and working to fix,” Alvarez said.
Some viewers reported that functionality had already been restored during the broadcast.
“Yeah mine is fixed now I can rewind or go forward like normal,” one user wrote.
The incident marks another example of streaming-related challenges impacting live WWE programming, although the issue appears to have been resolved quickly for at least part of the audience.
