Finn Balor’s time in Judgment Day appears to be over following a dramatic confrontation on Monday’s episode of WWE Raw.
Tensions between Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio finally boiled over during an in-ring segment that addressed the fallout from last week’s Intercontinental Championship match, which saw Mysterio lose the title after Balor refused to assist him.
Mysterio began the segment by venting his frustration over the loss, blaming Balor for costing him the championship. Balor then entered the ring alongside JD McDonagh and admitted that his actions had played a role in the outcome. While he apologised, Balor claimed he had been trying to teach Mysterio a lesson after spending the past two years attempting to guide him.
The situation escalated when Balor said he had come to realise that Rey Mysterio may have been right about his son, calling Dominik a “spoiled little pr*ck.”
Dominik responded by slapping Balor, triggering a fight between the two men. Balor briefly gained the upper hand with a Pele Kick and a Slingblade, but the momentum quickly shifted when McDonagh turned on his longtime ally and levelled him with a clothesline.
The Rest Of Judgment Day Joined In On The Assault On Finn Balor On WWE Raw
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez then joined the attack, helping Dominik deliver a brutal beatdown on Balor. The assault culminated with Dominik hitting two Frog Splashes, the second delivered with a steel chair placed across Balor’s chest.
The segment appears to mark the end of Balor’s association with Judgment Day, a group he helped lead for much of the past two years.
Balor had been teasing a possible babyface turn in recent weeks, including during his matches with CM Punk on Raw in Dublin and again at Elimination Chamber, where he was unsuccessful in his attempt to defeat Punk.
