WWE is reportedly planning the next edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, and a familiar host city could be in line to stage the special.
According to a report from WrestleVotes via Fightful Select, WWE is currently targeting May 23, 2026, for the next Saturday Night’s Main Event broadcast. The report also notes that Nashville, Tennessee, is being considered as a possible host city for the show.
Nashville has previously hosted several major WWE events in recent years, including SummerSlam 2022 at Nissan Stadium.
When Was The Last WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event?
The potential May event would follow the January 24, 2026, edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which took place at the Bell Centre in Montreal. That show featured a high-profile fatal four-way match between Sami Zayn, Randy Orton, Damian Priest and Trick Williams, with the winner earning a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble.
Meanwhile, the December 2025 edition of the special was headlined by what was promoted as John Cena’s final match.
WrestleVotes confirmed the upcoming event during a recent report.
“The next edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is on the books for May,” the outlet stated.
Since returning to WWE programming, the Saturday Night’s Main Event specials have typically been presented quarterly. WrestleVotes Radio also reported that WWE is planning to hold four SNME shows in 2026, one fewer than in 2025.
While WWE has yet to officially announce the May show, the report suggests plans are already underway for the next instalment of the revived special.
