The WWE NXT Women’s Championship will be defended next week, but the challenger emerged in controversial fashion.
Zaria secured a title opportunity after turning on Sol Ruca during this week’s episode of WWE NXT. In the closing moments of the match, Zaria attacked Ruca, allowing Jacy Jayne to connect with the Rolling Encore within seconds to retain her championship.
The fallout continued backstage, where Zaria confronted Jayne and demanded a title match for next week’s show. She warned the champion that if the match was not granted, Jayne could expect the same fate as Ruca.
