The WWE NXT Championship picture has taken a dramatic turn, with a major multi-man match now confirmed for Stand & Deliver.
WWE announced on the March 24 episode of NXT that Joe Hendry will defend the WWE NXT Championship in a fatal four-way match against Ricky Saints, Ethan Page, and Tony D’Angelo. The decision was made by Robert Stone following a chaotic main event, in which tensions among all four men reached a breaking point.
D’Angelo faced Saints in the main event, with Saints accompanied by Page as part of their uneasy alliance. Despite working together, the pair have shown signs of conflict in recent weeks over their championship ambitions.
The match broke down when Page interfered, striking D’Angelo with a chop block and turning the contest into a two-on-one attack. The referee called for the disqualification, awarding the match to D’Angelo.
Joe Hendry then made his way to the ring to even the odds, helping clear Saints and Page before turning his attention to D’Angelo. Hendry delivered a Standing Ovation to his fellow competitor, referencing their issues from the previous week.
At the same time, Saints and Page continued to clash at ringside, both attempting to claim possession of the NXT Championship belt as tensions between them escalated. Following the segment, Stone appeared backstage to make the match official, confirming that Hendry will defend the title against all three challengers at Stand & Deliver.
A contract signing for the match has been announced for next week’s episode of NXT in New York, as the situation surrounding the championship continues to intensify.w
