One of WWE NXT’s rising stars could be on the verge of a significant change, with reports suggesting a move to WWE’s main roster may be closer than expected.
According to WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, Sol Ruca is in line for a character refresh that will include a brand new entrance theme as part of preparations for a potential call-up to Raw or SmackDown. The report notes that there is an internal belief that her time in WWE NXT has run its course.
Sean Ross Sapp previously reported that Ruca was tentatively scheduled to be in Chicago around Elimination Chamber, which takes place at the United Center on February 28. While nothing has been confirmed, the timing has fuelled speculation that her transition could happen sooner rather than later.
Ruca recently turned heads with a breakout showing in the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble, finishing as one of the final three competitors. The 26-year-old has continued to build momentum, including a viral win over Bayley at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Her innovative in-ring style has earned praise from several top names, with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan describing her as a “future champion multiple times over.”
Sol Ruca’s WWE NXT Schedule
In recent weeks, Sol Ruca has been working an increased schedule, including dark matches and an opportunity to challenge for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship in Atlanta. A former NXT Women’s North American Champion, she now appears poised for a larger platform as WWE continues its current wave of roster changes.
Elimination Chamber 2026 will feature two chamber matches to determine number one contenders for WrestleMania 42, while CM Punk is also set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor. Whether Ruca factors into the event remains to be seen, but momentum appears firmly on her side.
