The WWE Network era is officially coming to an end.
WWE has confirmed that the standalone streaming service will shut down completely on April 1, 2026, bringing an end to a platform that once served as the global hub for the company’s digital content.
The final regions still using the WWE Network service are Germany, Austria and Italy, where WWE recently notified subscribers that the Network will no longer be available beginning April 1.
Those countries remained active on the platform longer than most did because of existing media rights agreements that prevented WWE’s global streaming transition from taking place earlier.
The majority of international markets had already moved away from the standalone WWE Network on January 1, 2025, when WWE began distributing its content through Netflix under a new global partnership.
However, existing broadcast deals in Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland allowed the Network to continue operating in those regions into 2026 while those agreements ran their course.
The situation is slightly more complicated in Germany and Austria. Although the WWE Network will close on April 1, WWE programming in those markets currently airs on ProSieben MAXX under a separate television agreement.
As a result, not all WWE programming will immediately shift to Netflix in those regions.
How will German & Austrian Fans Watch Shows Without The WWE Network?
Fans in Germany and Austria will still be able to watch WWE Premium Live Events on Netflix starting April 1, but the availability of weekly programming remains tied to the existing broadcast arrangements.
Italy’s transition is expected to be more straightforward. The country will fully move to Netflix in April as part of WWE’s broader international streaming strategy.
Italy has also been selected to host its first-ever WWE Premium Live Event. Clash in Italy is scheduled for May 31, 2026, at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, marking a significant milestone for the market as WWE completes the shift to the Netflix platform.
With the April shutdown, the WWE Network will officially cease to exist as a standalone streaming service.
The platform first launched internationally in 2014 and, at one point, operated in more than 170 countries, providing fans with access to WWE’s library of past content, along with live events and original programming.
Once the final shutdown takes effect, Netflix will become the exclusive international home for WWE content in nearly every market where the WWE Network previously operated, closing the chapter on one of the most significant digital initiatives in the company’s history.
