WWE has announced a change to its premium live event schedule, moving Money in the Bank 2026 back by one month.
The event was originally scheduled for September, but WWE confirmed that Money in the Bank will now take place on October 10. The show will remain at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. No reason was given for the date change.
“WWE, in conjunction with the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and Legends Global, today announced that Money in the Bank will now take place Saturday, October 10, one month later than originally announced, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans,” the company said in a statement.
MITB is one of WWE’s signature events, featuring ladder matches in which competitors battle for a contract guaranteeing a championship opportunity at any time within the following year.
Money In The Bank Hosted In New Orleans After WrestleMania 43 Was Moved To Saudi Arabia
The event’s move comes after New Orleans was selected to host Money in the Bank as part of an agreement following WrestleMania 43‘s relocation. The city had originally been announced as the host of WrestleMania 43 before WWE shifted the event to Saudi Arabia.
WWE has since promised that New Orleans will host a future WrestleMania, although no date has been announced. Tickets for Money in the Bank will go on sale to the general public on July 10 at 10 a.m. ET. A pre-sale will begin one day earlier.
Despite the scheduling adjustment, New Orleans remains set to host one of WWE’s biggest annual events as the road to WrestleMania season begins to take shape later this year.
