WWE is reportedly hopeful that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will appear on next week’s episode of WWE Raw.
According to WrestleVotes during a recent Fightful Select Q&A, discussions have taken place between Steve Austin and WWE officials about a possible appearance on the March 16 edition of Raw, which takes place in San Antonio, Texas. The show also falls on “3:16 Day,” further fuelling speculation that the Texas native could make a return.
WrestleVotes noted that several people within WWE are optimistic about the possibility of Austin appearing on the show.
“There have been conversations,” WrestleVotes said. “I don’t want to say WWE has officially invited Steve Austin to Raw next Monday night, but there are people in the company who are very hopeful he will be there.”
The report added that Austin’s appearance would make sense given the event’s timing and location during WrestleMania season.
When Did Steve Austin Last Appear On WWE Raw?
Steve Austin has not appeared on Monday Night Raw since before the COVID-19 pandemic, making a potential appearance next week notable. His last in-ring match came at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, where he defeated Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match.
More recently, Austin appeared at WrestleMania 41 to announce the official attendance figure for the event. That same weekend, his legendary submission match against Bret Hart from WrestleMania 13 was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Next week’s Raw at the Frost Bank Center is already shaping up to be a major show. Brock Lesnar is advertised to appear as part of his five-week run leading into WrestleMania season, while Roman Reigns is also scheduled for the event.
