A WWE Hall of Famer believes Danhausen‘s merchandise success is only just beginning.
Speaking on 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff doubled down on a previous prediction that Danhausen could soon become WWE’s top merchandise seller by an even wider margin. The discussion stemmed from recent comments made by Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who told ESPN that Danhausen has overtaken the rest of the roster in merchandise sales and is currently “beating us all.”
Bischoff said he expects Danhausen’s sales to surge even further during the holiday season.
“I think Danhausen merch is just going to be stupid,” Bischoff said, predicting that the star’s sales could eclipse his current numbers by nearly 80 percent between Halloween and Christmas.
The WWE Hall of Famer used the discussion to explain his long-held belief that success in professional wrestling should be measured by a performer’s ability to entertain audiences and generate revenue rather than purely by in-ring ability.
According to Bischoff, Danhausen’s popularity demonstrates the value of strong character work and marketability. While acknowledging that Danhausen is not currently a major television ratings draw, Bischoff argued that the wrestler has become an important business asset for WWE through merchandise sales and brand recognition.

“I’m just so impressed with Danhausen,” Bischoff said. “The thinking, the effort, and the professionalism. It’s so entertaining, it’s so fun, it’s harmless fun.”
Danhausen has emerged as one of WWE’s most popular acts since joining the company, with multiple reports indicating that his merchandise ranks among the promotion’s best-selling items.
