A WWE Hall of Famer has made a bold claim that the company’s women’s division is better than the men’s division currently.
Nikki Bella believes the current state of the WWE women’s division is stronger than the men’s, calling it the best era the division has ever experienced. Speaking on Logan Paul‘s IMPAULSIVE podcast following her in-ring return at the Royal Rumble after a month away from TV, Nikki Bella said the increased opportunities for female talent have helped elevate the roster to new heights.
With champions such as Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky and Stephanie Vaquer headlining major shows, Bella argued that the women’s side of the company is currently setting the standard.
“The women’s division especially, is incredible. I actually, no offence, think the women’s division is better than the men’s division overall,” Bella said. “I think for women, it’s the best ever because of the opportunities given.”
While praising the women’s roster, Bella also raised concerns about the men’s division, suggesting WWE needs to place greater emphasis on developing new stars. She pointed to the number of established names nearing retirement and warned that a gap is forming at the top of the card.
Bella referenced AJ Styles’ career-ending loss to Gunther and the absence of John Cena as signs of a generational shift.
“I do think we need to build more stars overall in the WWE, especially for the men. Especially seeing how many are going to be retiring soon,” she said. “Already to lose AJ Styles so quick, that was crazy sad. John is gone. You look at some of the other top stars’ ages, and you’re like, ‘Oh wow.’”
When Was Nikki Bella Inducted Into The WWE Hall Of Fame?
Nikki Bella was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021, alongside her twin sister Brie Bella as The Bella Twins. The sisters were honoured for their impact on WWE’s women’s division, their multiple championship reigns, and their role in helping bring mainstream attention to women’s wrestling during the company’s “Divas” era and beyond.
