A WWE Hall of Famer believes Chad Gable has taken his in-ring performances to another level following his recent run in AAA, even going as far as to call him ‘the best wrestler in the world.’
Speaking on Something to Wrestle, WWE Hall of Famer JBL reflected on Chad Gable’s acclaimed Mask vs. Mask match in AAA, which he previously described as the best match he has ever called for WWE. JBL credited Gable with elevating his performances during his time in Mexico and suggested guidance from The Undertaker may have played a role in his recent development.
“I saw Chad elevate his game down in AAA. Maybe it was The Undertaker talking with him, but I saw Chad just reach a different level.”
The WWE Hall of Famer then raised his praise even further.
“I thought Chad was a terrific worker. I think now he’s a world-class worker. I think he might be the best worker in the world. All of a sudden that light went on.”
JBL continued by praising Gable’s performances in AAA, describing him as one of the industry’s elite performers.
“The stuff he did down in AAA was just amazing. That guy is a general, man. He’s so freaking good.”
Chad Gable Credits The Undertaker With His Career Development
JBL’s comments came not long after Chad Gable himself credited The Undertaker for helping unlock another side of his in-ring ability. Appearing on What Do You Wanna Talk About?, Gable revealed that The Undertaker, who currently serves as head of creative for AAA, succeeded where numerous coaches had previously fallen short.
“He gets the credit for pulling something out of me that a number of people have tried to over the years and just haven’t been able to.”
Gable added that a backstage conversation with The Undertaker before a ringside brawl proved to be the moment everything clicked for him, with his performances in AAA since receiving widespread praise from both fans and fellow wrestlers.
