The Rock has not been officially confirmed for WrestleMania 43, but one WWE Hall of Famer believes money could ultimately decide whether the dream match becomes reality.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray addressed ongoing speculation surrounding WrestleMania 43, which is scheduled to take place next year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event will mark the first WrestleMania held overseas, adding further intrigue to an already historic show.
With rumours circulating that Saudi officials are eager for The Rock to headline the event, potentially against Roman Reigns or even Cody Rhodes, Ray suggested that financial backing could remove any remaining obstacles.
“I just think when there’s that much money on the table, anything is possible,” Ray said. “I think that the Saudi government is going to basically tell The Rock, fill in the blank, and he’ll sign the check, Rock versus Roman. There’s not a state in the United States, and I don’t believe that there is a country on the planet that can outbid Saudi.”
Reports have indicated that negotiations involving the former WWE Champion are progressing and may be nearing completion. However, no official announcement has been made regarding The Rock’s involvement at WrestleMania 43.
When Did The Rock Last Wrestle In WWE?
The Rock last competed at WrestleMania 40 Night 1, teaming with Roman Reigns in a high-profile main event against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Since then, questions have lingered about whether he will return for another blockbuster appearance.
With WrestleMania 43 set to break new ground in Riyadh, the possibility of Rock versus Reigns would undoubtedly elevate the event to another level. For now, though, it remains speculation, albeit backed by the belief that financial power could tip the scales.
