A WWE Hall of Famer believes Oba Femi could be on track for a major moment at WrestleMania 43.
Speaking on his podcast, Grilling JR, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross named Oba Femi as his current favourite to become a world champion by the time next year’s event arrives, pointing to his recent rise within WWE. Ross highlighted Femi’s victory over Brock Lesnar as a defining moment, suggesting it has already positioned him ahead of many others on the roster.
“He’s got a better shot than anybody right now,” Ross said, while noting that Femi’s look and presence make him stand out.
Despite the praise, Ross was also clear that Femi is still developing and must continue to improve to reach that level.
“He ain’t ready,” Ross admitted, stressing the importance of consistency and continued growth if WWE is to fully commit to him as a top star.

Jim Ross also assessed other rising names, including Logan Paul and Bron Breakker. He praised Paul’s in-ring ability, calling him the best “bell-to-bell” performer of the group, while noting Breakker’s athleticism and wrestling pedigree. Even so, Ross ultimately positioned Oba Femi as the leading candidate to break through first, with Breakker close behind in his estimation.
