The Fan Festival is one of the centrepieces of Toronto’s World Cup celebrations and will run throughout the tournament, offering fans live entertainment, activities, and public screenings of matches.
Canadian singer Jessie Reyez is scheduled to perform as part of the opening festivities, while supporters will also be able to watch Canada’s clash with Bosnia and Herzegovina on large screens at the event.
Toronto is playing a major role in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosting six matches between June 12 and July 2. The city will also host the FIFA Fan Festival from June 11 through July 19. Canada’s opening match is particularly significant as it marks the first men’s FIFA World Cup match ever played on Canadian soil, featuring the Canadian men’s national team.
Trish Stratus Has Been Active In Wrestling And The Wider Entertainment World After Her WWE In-Ring Retirement
Trish Stratus has remained active in both the wrestling and entertainment worlds since retiring from full-time WWE competition and continues to be one of Canada’s most recognisable sports personalities. Her last wrestling match took place at the Evolution pay-per-view on July 13, 2025, where she failed to capture the WWE Women’s Title from then-champion Tiffany Stratton.
Her appearance at the Fan Festival adds another notable name to the celebrations as Canada prepares to begin its World Cup campaign on home soil.
