It has been reported that WWE are creating a new documentary focusing on John Cena.
John Cena is set to be the focus of a new WWE documentary centred on his retirement tour. Following his recent confirmation of a five-year brand ambassador deal with WWE, Cena is expected to remain a visible presence for the company in both on-camera and off-camera roles. While his in-ring career officially came to an end at Saturday Night’s Main Event, a documentary will give fans an inside look at the final year of his wrestling career.
According to WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, WWE has been filming material for a documentary project focused on Cena’s retirement tour. The report noted that documentary crews were present during the process, with the finished project currently expected to be released in mid-2026. Although no platform has been officially announced, the documentary is widely expected to air on Peacock.
Cena wrestled his final match on December 13 at the Capital One Arena, where he submitted to Gunther in the main event. The bout marked the closing chapter of one of the most significant in-ring careers in WWE history, with the upcoming documentary set to chronicle his final run before retirement.
