WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is reportedly being moved to Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, reportedly due to safety concerns tied to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The November 7 premium live event was originally scheduled for Riyadh Season Stadium, a temporary outdoor venue being built for the occasion. However, Riyadh Season announced earlier this week that Crown Jewel would be moved to a different location, confirming that existing ticket holders would receive full refunds.
Although the organisers did not immediately reveal the replacement venue, Dave Meltzer has now reported that WWE is expected to move the event to Kingdom Arena, an indoor facility in Riyadh.
WWE Crown Jewel Venue Change Reportedly Linked To Safety Concerns
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said the decision to relocate Crown Jewel was reportedly made because holding the event indoors would be safer than using an outdoor stadium.
“They were building a stadium, Riyadh Season Stadium. It was outdoors and the WWE show was going to be there. They announced a move. I don’t even know if it’s been officially announced, but they’re moving to Kingdom Arena, which is the same building that the Canelo Alvarez fight on Saturday is going to be held.”
Meltzer acknowledged that the initial announcement had raised concerns about whether the event itself could be in jeopardy. However, he suggested that the relocation was primarily a precautionary measure rather than an indication that Crown Jewel would be postponed or cancelled.
“Some people, when it was first announced, thought something big was up, but essentially, the claim is that it is safer to run the show indoors than outdoors, which makes all the sense in the world,” Meltzer explained. “So they’re going to move the show indoors.”
The reported decision comes amid heightened security concerns in Saudi Arabia following escalating tensions and military activity across the Middle East. The uncertainty surrounding the region has prompted questions about the arrangements for WWE’s upcoming event, particularly given the original plans to stage Crown Jewel outdoors.
Kingdom Arena has a reported capacity of approximately 30,000 spectators and has previously hosted major WWE events. The company staged its Night of Champions premium live events at the venue in both 2025 and 2026, meaning WWE would be returning to a familiar location if the reported move is confirmed.
While Riyadh Season has officially announced the venue change, Kingdom Arena has not yet been formally confirmed as the replacement location. Despite the relocation, Crown Jewel remains scheduled for Saturday, November 7, with four matches currently announced.
The card includes Roman Reigns facing Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship, while Liv Morgan is scheduled to face Chelsea Green for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.
Cody Rhodes will also meet Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match, while The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed are set to defend the World Tag Team Championship against Penta and Je’Von Evans.
No official indication suggests the venue change will affect the event’s scheduled date or advertised matches.
