Australia could host one of WWE’s biggest annual Premium Live Events as part of the company’s multi-year agreement with the government of Western Australia.
WWE announced last month that it had agreed to hold one PLE in Perth each year from 2026 through 2028. The partnership will begin with Wrestlepalooza this December, but the company is reportedly considering bringing an even bigger event to the city during the final year of the agreement. According to WrestleVotes, either Survivor Series or the Royal Rumble could potentially be held in Perth in 2028.
“One of those weekends could be reserved for a major PLE, with Survivor Series or even the Royal Rumble standing out as potential options,” the report stated. “We’re told that 2028 could be a potential target for WWE to bring one of its traditional big four events to Perth.”
WWE Could Bring Royal Rumble Or Survivor Series To Perth
No decision has been confirmed regarding which event Perth will host in 2028, but either option would represent a significant addition to WWE’s relationship with Western Australia. The agreement also extends beyond the Premium Live Events, with the wrestling promotion planning full weekend takeovers around its Perth appearances.
Those weekends are expected to include episodes of SmackDown and Raw alongside fan experiences and other activities. Western Australia has already established a relationship with WWE after previously partnering with the company for Elimination Chamber in 2024 and Crown Jewel in 2025.
Wrestlepalooza will now begin the three-year run of annual Premium Live Events in Perth, with a potential Royal Rumble or Survivor Series following in 2028.
