Preparations for WWE WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia are reportedly ramping up behind the scenes.
According to Fightful Select, sources familiar with the Saudi side of the event say officials are looking to make WrestleMania 2027 as big as possible. Saudi representatives reportedly visited WWE Headquarters several weeks ago for kickoff meetings related to the event.
WWE has already confirmed that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia in 2027, marking the first time in the event’s history that WrestleMania will be held outside North America. WWE has yet to announce an official date.
WrestleMania 43 Date Could Be Announced Around Crown Jewel
Before WrestleMania, WWE will return to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel 2026 on November 7. The event is scheduled to take place at the temporary outdoor Riyadh Seasonal Stadium, with construction expected to begin this week.
According to the report, WWE is expected to officially announce the date for WrestleMania 43 around Crown Jewel weekend, provided the information is not revealed beforehand. A WWE source said Saudi Arabia’s involvement is one reason the company has taken longer than usual to confirm the WrestleMania date.
The uncertainty has also affected independent wrestling promotions that traditionally schedule events around WrestleMania weekend. Several promotions are reportedly holding off on finalising their plans until WWE confirms the date. With WrestleMania taking place outside the United States, companies are also waiting to see whether there will still be opportunities to run shows and events traditionally associated with WrestleMania weekend.
For now, WWE has confirmed only that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia in 2027, with more details expected later.
