WWE has announced a new number one contendership match for the Intercontinental Championship for tonight’s Raw.
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announced via a video on WWE’s Twitter account that Rusev will face Penta in a number one contendership match for the Intercontinental Championship. Rusev and Penta have both had shots at the IC Title, with Rusev challenging current champion Dominik Mysterio on the September 29 and October 20 episodes of Raw. Penta challenged Mysterio for the title on the October 13 episode of Raw and at a house show in Japan on October 18.

Dominik Mysterio has held the Intercontinental Title since WrestleMania 41, as he captured the title in a four-way match on the Sunday show, defeating then-champion Bron Breakker, Finn Balor, and Penta in the match.
What Else Is Happening On Tonight’s Episode Of WWE Raw?
On tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, there are currently three matches and a segment that have been announced for the show. The lineup looks like this:
- Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley and Lyra Valkyrie for the Women’s Tag Team Title
- CM Punk and Jey Uso will have a face-to-face meeting
- Nikki Bella vs. Roxanne Perez
- Penta vs. Rusev to determine the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship
