WWE has announced details for the 2026 edition of Elimination Chamber.
For the last four years, Elimination Chamber has been held internationally, with the event taking place in Saudi Arabia, Australia, and twice in Canada. That will all change in 2026, as it has been announced that the event will return to the US on February 28th, when it is held in Chicago’s United Center.
The show, which will be held in partnership with Choose Chicago, will be the first WWE has held at the United Centre since 1994, when SummerSlam was the first major event to be held inside the arena.
Commenting on the news, WWE’s Co-Head of Revenue, Alex Varga, praised the passionate fans of Chicago.
“Famous for its phenomenally passionate fans, Chicago is a city that WWE Superstars consistently circle on the calendar every year
“We look forward to bringing our first Premium Live Event to the United Center in more than 30 years in partnership with Choose Chicago, whose work continues to solidify the city’s position as a world-class sports and entertainment destination.”
On social media, Chief Content Officer Triple H also noted the “historic” nature of the event and shared a poster featuring Chicago’s own CM Punk front and centre.
“Three decades in the making…
@WWE’s return to the @UnitedCenter marks a historic return to Chicago for #WWEChamber in 2026.”

Elimination Chamber 2025 saw John Cena compete in the cage one last time, but the most shocking moment came after the match. After Cody Rhodes denied The Rock’s demands to take his soul, it was Cena who joined forces with The Final Boss. Cena beat down The American Nightmare, leaving him a bloody mess to close the show and kicking off a shock heel run that lasted until SummerSlam.
