WWE is reportedly preparing to expand its relationship with Netflix through a crossover promotion with one of the streaming platform’s biggest franchises, Stranger Things.
According to WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, a promotional crossover between WWE and Stranger Things is expected to take place in the near future. While specific details about the nature of the collaboration were not disclosed, the report indicates that discussions are already underway behind the scenes.
The timing of the reported crossover is notable, as Stranger Things is currently in its final season. The second volume of the fifth season is scheduled to be released on Christmas Day, followed by a two-hour series finale on New Year’s Eve. Both releases are set to stream globally at 8 PM ET. With the show entering its final stretch, promotion across Netflix’s other major properties would align with its marketing push.
WWE Raw has streamed weekly on Netflix since the start of the partnership in January, making the red brand a natural platform for any crossover activity. While nothing has been confirmed, speculation has suggested that the collaboration would more likely see members of the Stranger Things cast appear on an episode of Raw, rather than WWE talent featuring within the show itself.
Raw is set to tape its next episode tonight ahead of SmackDown, with the December 29 edition scheduled to air live from the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. That broadcast comes just days before Raw celebrates its one-year anniversary on Netflix on January 5, 2026, an episode WWE is already expected to load with major matches and moments.
With Stranger Things ranking among Netflix’s most successful series of all time, including its fourth season placing fourth on the platform’s all-time English-language television list, a crossover would represent a significant promotional opportunity for both brands.
How Long Is WWE And Netflix’s Deal For?
WWE Raw is set to remain on Netflix for the long term, with the companies agreeing to a multi-year rights deal that runs for at least 10 years. The agreement, which began in January 2025, makes Netflix the exclusive home of Raw in several international markets and underlines WWE’s long-term commitment to the platform as it continues to expand its global reach.
The deal was for a reported $5 billion, and Netflix has the right to either cancel the deal after the first five years, or they can trigger an extension clause in the contract after five years to have the show remain on its platform for a further ten years, meaning Raw could be on Netflix for as little as five years, or for as long as 20 years.
