A late wrestling legend will soon return to the spotlight in virtual form as they are included in the WWE 2K26 roster.
Brian Pillman has been confirmed as a playable character in the upcoming WWE 2K26 video game, which is set to launch within the next week. The latest edition of the long-running franchise will feature one of the largest rosters in the series’ history, with around 400 playable characters expected to appear in the game.
News of Pillman’s inclusion was shared by his son, WWE NXT star Lexis King, who revealed the update in a recent video message.
“Ladies and gentlemen, it has been a dream of mine to reclaim my birthright and take what belongs to me in the WWE, and that dream is quickly becoming a reality because I just heard through the grapevine that the WWE 2K26 Ringside Pass number three is going to include the legendary Brian Pillman,” King said.
King also noted that players will be able to use both father and son in the game.
“That’s right. You’re gonna get to play as me, you’re gonna get to play as my father, and you’re gonna get to play with us as a tag team, and of course, you’re gonna make us the tag team champions because it belongs to us and it is my birthright.”
Brian Pillman’s Wrestling Legacy Ahead Of WWE 2K26 Inclusion
Brian Pillman remains one of the most influential and unpredictable performers of the 1990s wrestling boom. He gained widespread recognition during his time in WCW, where his “Loose Cannon” persona helped redefine character work in professional wrestling.
He later competed in ECW before joining WWE, then known as the World Wrestling Federation. During his time in the company, Pillman became involved in a memorable rivalry with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and was also aligned with The Hart Foundation.
Pillman’s career was cut short when he passed away in 1997, but his legacy has continued to influence generations of wrestlers in the decades since.
His inclusion in WWE 2K26 will allow fans to revisit one of wrestling’s most memorable personalities while also offering the chance to pair him alongside his son in the game’s tag team matches.
